I'm a huge Batfan and, after this trailer, I think it's a possibility that it might be better than BB.

Yeah. I really think it comes down to the cutting room floor now. This is Snyder's moment. I hope the narrative is effortless and flows and doesn't get bogged down by the weight of itself. They're going really ambitious. I hope they can reel it in.

Reeling back to Amy. She's more than capable of selling us on Lois. No-one has any opinion on how it appears her and Supermans relationship will be public. Won't this mean every enemy of Superman will be targeting her now? Interesting too that's it not a romance between Clark and Lois (ala Byrne before he revealed himself to her), but Superman and Lois. I think that's a throwback to the silverage when wasn't Lois famously 'Superman's girlfriend'.

There are also theories out there that Lois may already know at some point in the film that Clark and Superman are one in the same as well.

God, I cant wait to get the interviews featuring these guys talk more about their characters plot wise.

I'm so excited to see what kind of characterisation they have gone with for Lois.

Whatever they've done, i just hope it's really clear exactly why he falls in love with her.

Indeed; though it seems somewhat apparent that aside from his parents, Lois will probably be the only one that accepts him for who he is before the rest of the world does eventually.

Funnier note; Henry and Amy convey more intimacy in these few shots than Brandon and Kate were able to do in all of SR.lol

Yeah I think since she's hot on his heels following all his exploits and probably gets saved by him once or twice (or alot) they will share some raw moments. I'm thinking after the oil rig incident. Clark will be lying low and Lois will find him (remember the Alaska set pics with Amy there). And they'll develop a relationship. She will try and encourage him and lift his spirits.

Snyder seems to have hit it out of the park when it comes to these great character moments.
Same here. That scene really gets to me. It's amazing how much you can read from it even though there's no dialogue.

I've always said that Snyder gets good performances out of actors.

Really? I don't consider him an actor's director at all. He needs great actors that could deliver on their own.

He got a great performance out of Gerard Butler, and I don't consider him to be a great actor.

That's a common opinion, but to believe that you have to ignore the great performances seen in 300 and particularly Watchmen (which unfortunately some people do).

Saying that the actors were good anyway is a massive cop-out. The Star Wars prequels proved that good acting means nothing without proper direction.

I was very impressed with the acting in Watchmen. Jackie Earle Haley and Billy Crudup in particular were amazing.

Yeah, Haley's performance was on par with Ledger's in The Dark Knight, IMO.

300 didn't require great performances. It was all very over the top.

Jackie Earle Haley was great way before Watchmen as an indie actor who was nominated for an Oscar. Malin Akerman, Matthew Goode, and Carla Gugino all gave uneven performances.

It didn't require them, but it had them. Gerard Butler's performance wasn't nuanced, as the writing wasn't there, but he had gravitas which he has failed to replicate since.

Cop-out. The Godfather is considered to be one of the greatest films of all time, filled with some of the greatest actors of all time. Should we give no credit to Coppolla?

Those are three actors out of many, and one of them was a bit part. Malin wasn't as bad as people say she was (comic book fans are always harsher on the women) and the only thing Goode did wrong was be obviously evil, and he played evil perfectly.

It's really baffling how you can say that it was all down to the actor in all seriousness. If that was true then we would judge actors by how well they acted in awful movies.

I'll be dlighted if it's as good as Iron Man.

I really feel like you and I can always agree on Zack Snyder.

A little saddened at the little of Lois there is in the trailer, but it didn't bother me too much because it showed Snyder's work so well and is doing the proper amount of exciting people.

Well, good actors do become the saving grace of bad movies at times.

How do you determine whether a director is an actor's director or not?

If many actors are able to go beyond their past performances under a director, then that says something about the director.

That's not true with Zack Snyder at all, and he's not the best communicator so I highly doubt he's much of an actor's director.
