As long as it's not red and green. He'll look like a Christmas tree.

He's got a collar up to his ears and a cape. I can live with his redesign.

I was pleasantly surprised by it, myself. I didn't pick it up on Wednesday because the way Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman were portrayed in those character bios turned me off. But reading what people thought of it here, I decided to check it out. Pretty good. I'm a little curious if they're going to go into the mentalities behind Batmans, Superman, and Wonder Woman, but it seems as though the "who" that they have to kill to protect their loved ones are the parademons. So I might be alright with this stuff in the long run.
I feel like I'm gonna like Jay the most, though Al Pratt proved to be a pretty damn cool guy, too. |

I kinda wish they didn't kill off Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.
It would've been cool to see a an alternative interpretation of them.

Honestly its the best #1 DC has put out since the relaunch. It had a one and done story while introducing its new protagonists seamlessly. Having Helena bring emotion to the story was amazing and honestly with just the little time we spent with her I genuinely felt sad. Great first issue and really had robinson bring his A game.

![]() The best issue one is still Batwoman though Hush. That comic book is the best DC comic book that they publish and the absolute best series of the relaunch. That's a fact of science ![]() This series was neat though and I'll be checking out issue two. I loved Nicola Scott's artwork on this comic book

Also, it was very cool to see Earth 2 pop up in the FCBD special. Looks like the Trinity War will be somewhat Crisis on Multiple Earths-ish.

Yeah I liked that the trinity was cast aside myself. I'm not keen on every other earth being so dependent on any of them. I like the concept of an earth where other people now have to step up and take care of their world themselves because the stakes are just that high. After reading World's Finest I'm curious as to what would happen if Helena & Kara met the Superman & Batman that we're all now familiar with though.

It's not so much that I think they should be depended on, it's that there's so much editorial pressure on the New Earth Trinity to be characterized a certain way or be put into certain situations constantly, I'd like to see a Trinity where Robinson could do whatever he wanted with them. Batman could start chucking people off on rooftops like in the old days, and it would be okay because it's Earth-2. I like that concept of creative freedom and the unexpected.

I get where you're coming from. Remember we still have Multiversity coming up
so perhaps more uninhibited versions of the Trinity could exist somewhere in the new multiverse and explored in there.

Multiversity is going to be an unreadable mess that people will try and justify as good writing.

Superman and Batman were not vital parts of the Golden Age JSA, but Wonder Woman was and they should have kept her around at least.
The book is just another DC bait-and-switch for the older fans anyway. I've had enough of being used. |
