I can live with that if it means no more Wolverine being an Avenger and no more Spider-Man being an Avenger.

I still like the idea of Spidey as a "New" Avenger.

Spidey's earned his stripes to be a full fledged accepted Avenger. I don't understand why people have a problem with him on the team. The real crime is how long it took for it to happen. That said, I like him best separate and on a street level team like the New Avengers.

I want that team to get back to a more classic roster for a long while.

Don't you know? The movies and the non-comic readers dictate what Marvel does. Marvel honestly believes in synchronizing their comics with the films so that maybe the viewers will give the comics a chance. Try to bring in a new audience.

Of course, they don't. Of course, only the long-term fans bother with the books. Of course those movie-goers enjoy the films, then continue to not read the books...the books that change just to satisfy the non-existent "new fans".

Pisses me off. Stop catering to non-readers!! They don't come, they don't stay, they don't increase sales. Reason why I gotta wade through this New DC s**t...

I haven't read anything Avengers since Civil War simply because the roster strayed too far from what I preferred.

I'm hoping the new status quo after AvX and the movie gets the roster back to basics. It's probably going to be more like after Bendis leaves.

Well if we're talking super heroines I guess it would be Wolvie? I'm probably wrong but Iron Man's flings were all ordinary girls and that one dubious time he was hanging out a lot with Warbird... Plus one of IM's creators (I think it was Don Heck) said that lots of the letters they got from female fans were addressed to/concerning Tony. I don't blame them

Well, lets break it down.

Hawkeye started out with Black Widow, had a thing for Scarlett Witch but, who didn't back then....I mean, even her brother did. He married Mocking Bird. Banged Moonstone. Now he's balling Spider-Woman.

IM banged Black Widow too. (But when you get down to it, who hasn't?) As Tony Stark he dated Wasp after she and Hank got divorced. Don't think he and Ms. Marvel got together. He did help her through her alcoholism. Don't think it went far beyond that. Then you got Pepper who now is a hero. Madame Mask who granted is a super villain but I think it should count.

Wolvie, well, there was some chick in Weapon X. Storm, Jean....kinda, Squirrl Girl, and probably a bunch more.

Yeah, Wolvierne.

But Marvel's biggest cape chasers are Black Widow and She-Hulk.

Once again, Black Widow and She-Hulk.

BW used to bang dudes cuz it's a good Espionage Tool. (Heh, Tool) She-Hulk is living out her dirty girl fantasies from when she was a sexless nerd in high school. Banged entire football teams.

Wolverine's never banged Storm or Jean. He loved Jean but they never dated or had a relationship. Kiss is as far as they went. He and Storm seemed to have a brief attraction during CC's last UXM run but nothing came out of it outside of 1 or 2 dates. The ones that he actually did have a relationship with and/or slept with, at least implied as such were :

Dazzler
Squirrel Girl (implied)
Mystqiue (I guess she counts since she was an Xman for a short bit)
Domino
Silver Fox
Ms Marvel
Yukio
Black Cat
Tyger Tyger
Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew)

LOL...I just listed the superheroines. The guy is a male ****. Here is a listing I found for him and note that this is just 616 and doesnt include the alternate reality pairings

This is mostly considering physical love since he has had more casual lovers then real girl friends. But for simplicity's sake I am including anyone he dated/became involved with even if we are not sure what really happened with them. This list is not complete, eventually do more research on this. But good starting point.

Unnamed migrant worker from Sonora Mexico - Wolverine's first time (Weapon X)
Silver Fox - Girlfriend first real love we know about (First in Wolverine 10) *Dead*
Janet – Girlfriend killed by Cyber pre WWI (Marvel Comic Presents/Blood Hungry) *Dead*
Mystique - Dated or were together in the past. Indications that they continued a semi-relationship (Wolverine Get Mystique)
Seraph - Not sure how far this went but considering recent facts he fell for her and she was manipulating him... Confirmed as an exe.(Wolverine Origins Annual) *Dead*
Mary McKenna - Relationship back in the 30s, love confirmed in brief conversation. (Uncanny X-Men)

Katrina McCann - One night stand back in the 60s (Under the Boardwalk)
Cracklin' Rosa - Bar owner, sometime companion. (Classic X-Men)
Charlemagne - Fellow spy and lover (Spider Man vs Wolverine) *Dead*
Domino – friend and lover (New X-Men Annual)
Carol Danvers - close friend and fellow agent, strongly hinted there was more after she was captured by KGB *Confirmed more then friends* (Marvel Fanfare 14, Uncanny, Wolverine, etc.)
The Native – relationship after Wolverine escaped Weapon X (Wolverine) *Dead*
Narya (Snowbird) – Brief relationship (inferred from UXM 140)
Ai Chia Wong - Girlfriend during his time in China. Breaks up with him after he kills her father's murderer (Wolverine) *Dead*
Mariko Yashida – Girlfriend and fiancιe (Uncanny X-Men) *Dead*
Yukio – Friend and lover (Wolverine LS)
Gahck – Lover in the Savage Land, has his son (Jungle Adventure)
Tyger Tiger – Friend and lover (Marvel Comic Presents/Blood Hungry)
Lynx – Lover in Nancy Rushman personality and ‘mate’ (Marvel Comics Presents)
Typhoid Mary (Mary Walker) – Friend and lover of her less hostile personality (Marvel Comics Presents/Typhoid’s Kiss)

Jessica Drew - Partner and friend in Madripoor with hints of more. Quasi confirmed with her stating he is "A helluva kisser'. (Wolverine 16)

Serra - Woman Logan was brought to breed with. Rejected her thinking his feelings weren't real (Killing)
Viper/Lady Hydra - married but no love and definitely not consummated
Elektra - Very close during his bestial phase and again during Enemy of the State. Nothing concrete that things moved past that although he did have a fling with her Skrull replacement.
Helen Bach - Almost started a relationship until she saw Jean and Storm (Wolverine)
Rogue - Friends and brief declaration of feelings (under mind alteration). Yet to develop more. (X-Men)
Aria - Zennan (alien) that possessed Wolverine for a time to get his help. Definite affection between them. (Wolverine)

I'm pretty sure Logan and Tony are even. Tony has had a lot of nameless models and socialites.

That's exponentially more impressive for Logan, though, given that he looks how he looks and Tony looks how Tony looks. I don't think "hirsute, grumpy, and shorter than I am" are too high on most women's list of traits they want in a man.

Marvel doesn't seem to care about anybody that's a non powered human anymore. Every supporting character has been given powers of some sort. The roles of guys like Jarvis and Wong have been diminished and even Bendis mainstays like Maria Hill and Victoria Hand have faded into the background.

Sharon Carter is the only prominent one I can think of right now. Dum Dum Dugan actually appeared in the recent Cap issue and it looks like he'll play a key role in the new Scourge arc. Both he and Diamondback got a Law and Order thing going.
