Those are the two of the best things I've seen from Finch.

Finch, like most of the Liefelds and Lee's of the world, are flash over substance and only appeal to the most shallow of tastes. One of the best in the business? I guess so....cuz when you get down to it, that's what the majority of the comic buying public like.
The people who see his stuff as being superior to say, a Frank Quitely or Marcos Martin. ![]() Yeah, I'm insulting you if you like Finch, wanna fight about it?

The one thing that kinda pisses me off, is people go on and on about how much Jim Lee or Finch suck, but never complain about the 80 million no-name artists who's art legitimately looks like pickled ass.

They also don't laude them as being awesome for their sucky work.
I can't name a single non-popular crapy artist because their names don't register to me. I remember some dude did a few issues of X-Factor. Just looked like he was a righty who had his hand cut off and had to draw with his left....also he was on acid. That guy sucked. I mean, how the f**k, did anybody think it was a good idea to give that guy money to draw a comic book? I have no idea what his name is. I care not to know what his name is. Haven't seen him on anything since either. Finch and Lee on the otherhand you see all the time. They are loved and respected. I'm not saying they suck, they just aren't all that special.

They seem as hated as they are respected to me, though.

That's because you're on the internet.
Objects are more loved than they appear. ![]() For instance, if you went by the internet, 2 and a half Men is the most horrible show evers, yet it's one of the shows with the highest ratings on tv.

Then again, art is all taste. There's quite a few that I personally don't think is any good but other people worship, like current Arthur Adams or whoever it is that's drawing Avengers right now. I know Corp is buying it for the art and I can't fathom it at all. Chayklin and Kollins are two more that I can't stand looking at that others seem to enjoy. I'll take Lee or Finch over those people anyday.

I think you meant Second Coming there. Yeah the work was great. I love that Legacy cover. Here's the whole image, which spanned several issues Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:
Finch's current style reminds me alot of Silvestri. Those two really should have been rotating artists on a series. This cover was beautiful

I'm not a fan of the way Quitely draws the human face, but the man is a much better storyteller than Lee or Finch.

Quitely's work in We3 is the best I've ever seen from him.

That pic (that it looks like Havok has since deleted) was by Andrea Di Vito, another artist who does very samey figures and faces, but is still better than Finch because he has a really clean style with strong linework, a great command of anatomy and proportion, and he experiments with some really innovative and energetic layouts.

Straightforward answer is Magneto. But Stark's clever enough to have some tech that would nullify Mags' powers on him. So... ehhhh...

Mags should be able to wipe the floor with half the Avengers but Marvel has turned him into a weak old man these days. He hasn't been a major threat in over a decade.

For the record... I like Finch.
Also, Quietly had to grow on me. I couldn't STAND him when he first started drawing X-Men but he grew on me later. He's a great storyteller, though his people are all ugly as sin.

Quietly's men are ugly as sin. His Cyclops is straight up weird looking especially. But his women are alright i think.

Nah, his women all look like old people. His Emma Frost looked 50 (while stating she was only 27... laughably).

That's the exact way I feel too. Though my first exposure to his work was on The Authority.
