Idk. It may just be wishful thinking, but Nolan is opening a lot of doors for Dick Grayson (or a character similiar to Dick Grayson) to exist in this movie. Just the fact alone that there's an orphanage involved with young orphaned boys practically screams the possibility of Dick Grayson. And who knows, he may not have anything to do with Bruce at all...this is Nolan's version of course. I believe he also said around the time of Batman Begins that "Dick Grayson is still in a crib somewhere" in his Batman universe. Well, if we hold him to that, then that means Dick is 8-9 years old during the events of TDKR.

It's definitely an interesting possibility to consider.

I totally understand the potentail trouble caused by adding too many comic book characters (or villains) in one film, but I fully support Easter Eggs and small cameos. The Joker won't make a second appearence, but just his name or existense being mentioned would make for a great cameo alone. So even if Dick isn't fully developed in this movie (and Robin nowhere near mentioned), his mere existence would make for a great cameo/Easter Egg.

But I agree with the general point. I think there is a strong chance that Dick Grayson will make an appearance as an orphan boy.

Indeed, many of the audience would not even 'get it,' but it would be a nice nod to the fans.

You should read the fanfic I wrote back in 2009. The villain was Bane, There was a substory about an orphanage, Dick was in it (without being Robin)... I'm sure Nolan stole my ideas . I called it "gotham soul".

I appreciate that and I also saw that later on he clarified that it was specultaion, but the first line is misleading and perhaps intentionally so, as you highlight youself.

So, I've been reading the past Spec threads and regarding Bane's ADR/voice/whatever, I'm 200% certain that the way it sounds ultra clear and louder than any other voice in the trailer (along with Anne's and Christian's initial lines, before the music builds up) is because they isolated the lines and manipulated/edited them specifically for the trailer. In no way, shape or form do they sound like the finished product to me, so I wouldn't bet on them being that.

It makes sense that they went a bit overboard with cleaning up Bane's audio in order to calm people down about his voice.
