I don't mind change, as long as it's good. I thought the origin in BB was great, but it didn't follow the comics.

I was actually happy that they're trying to be different and focusing on Peter's parents and Gwen Stacy and his issues with the police, but the whole

I'm surprised Bay's TMNT movie hasn't been dropped yet. I haven't seen fans so upset at someone making a movie like this before.

I agree. Both films use the comics for inspiration but have different origin stories that are not from the comics. I loved that for BB & TDKR and I will hopefully love that for TASM too.

Again, it's all in the execution. Let's go back to the BB example for an origin:

-In the comics, Bruce's parents are murdered in front of him. It is at the moment that he knows he has to abolish crime from the streets. He makes it his life plan to do so, to avenge his parent's death.

-In BB, his parents are murdered in front of him. He grows up, goes to school, and is still pouting about it. Mad about the incident, he decides he's going to shoot his parents murderer as he's released from prison. As he walks up to him, someone from the mob gets to Joe Chill first and kills him. Still confused, he tells Rachel, who slaps him in the face a few times to wake him up. Now he knows what he has to do because of Rachel.

So the difference being, in the comics, Bruce had a destiny the second his parents were killed in front of him. In BB, if he wasn't friends with Rachel, he never would have realized anything. It's vastly different, not only in tone, but in motive, although, it worked on film. The same could easily happen with TASM. We'll just have to wait and see.

I think it's admirable they are taking liberties with the source material as long as it makes a good film and stays within the spirit of spider-man, it either shows a "no compromise" attitude in making a good film (the same attitude that made the nolan bat films great, or just plain ignorance. I'm hoping the former.

Well, the change itself sounds awful, but it could possibly be integrated well without coming off as crap. But that would be a difficult feat to accomplish. Everything is in line, for the most part, aside from that and I guess Garfield. I mean, he's alright, but there's something about the way he speaks in the trailers that is odd and messes up his delivery. Maybe it's just me.

Bane was attacking the airport (which of course looked like O'Hare lol) and Woody Harrelson was one of the airport security. Tatelia was in London dong something with Jack Bauer. Bruce attended the masked ball and Arya and Sansa were there.

Best dream ever.
