Maybe an appearance from Batroc The Leaper as someone's right hand man will produce some great action sequences.

So, for all the "Iron Man is selfish and doesn't work well with others" thing...upon second viewing, the film actually makes Iron Man look better. Cap appears to be actively picking fights over Stark making jokes. He kind of comes across as a bit of a bully.

I agree. In the field his partner should be Sharon much like Hawkeye has Black Widow already. Nick Fury definitely needs to be someone he touches base with, though, and Maria Hill can be someone that he's at odds with. Maybe Cap wants to work on his own but Fury insists of having Sharon Carter follow him around. All the heavy SHIELD stuff can be saved for a SHIELD movie but Sharon can be his connection on the field.
Still not sure how I feel about Falcon but I wouldn't object if he was in it and I wouldn't cry if he wasn't.

Agreed; she seems like the logical choice and she's already a core member of his own gallery of characters.
Plus, she provides the great transition in Steve's closure from Peggy. On an Avengers Note, I'm surprised that they didn't have Steve mention anything about Tony's dad when they were having that Loki-induced argument in the room, during the moment where they taking some personal jabs at each other verbally. You know, if the second film deals with Steve's transition from the past to the present entirely, I wouldn't mind seeing the third film deal with Steve having to fully comprehend and realize that the country that he's serving may not be all that great and such and further establishing on the difference between a good solider versus being a good person. |

My ideal sequel would involve a modern version of hydra led by baron zemo(helmut) and his second in command madame hydra. They're attempting to assemble a weapon of mass destruction type device in order to whole the world ransom( or something better obviously I'm not the most creative writer haha) which would have plenty of foreign type settings for captain to fight in (think james bond kinda). Sharon Carter is tasked with shadowing Cap, and helping him adjust to modern times, obviously developing an attraction for each other, maybe at first being annoyed by his "old fashionedness". In the mean time we're discovering more about Zema, and his relationship to Cap featuring flashbacks to WWII and seeing Cap take down a hydra base operated by the original Baron Zemo. In the end though we find out that the cult like attitude hydra has towards Red Skull is still very much alive, when Madame Hydra betrays Zemo to reveal they were actually building a device to locate and bring back Red Skull.
Anyway.. just an idea.. probably wouldn't work... |

IMO, the sequel has to include the red skull and another villain so I could go along with this.

I like that idea too, kinda shows that even a man out of time still has some familiar faces he can rely on. Not everything about the world has changed around him.

I really liked the actor who played falsworth. Out of all the commandos, I would want to see him in a bigger role the most

Could be kinda cool to see him working with Cap in flashbacks and telling his sons stories about Cap, and seeing the kinda legacy and impression he left on people. to quote A:TLA "Friendships transcend lifetimes"

Just realized that although Captain America is considered "weak" compared to the other Big Three, in his solo film he had the biggest impact as a hero.
Iron Man 1/2-Both are against one villain who also has advanced technology; the world is not really threatened as much as Stark/tech war. Hulk-Fights Abomination and damages Harlem, but again, threat level is not that high. (Although Abomination was dangerous) Thor-Stakes are high, but the main threat is to Asgard, not Earth. Destroyer levels a small town, however. CA:TFA-Red Skull has designs to take over the entire world, if he succeeded the entire East coast of the U.S would've been wiped out, and later the whole world. So I just thought that's interesting to anyone who thinks Captain America is weak or "useless". Of the Big Four, he was the biggest hero. His sacrifice was also enormous, although I think Iron Man matched it in The Avengers. |

Just watched this again and I loved Cap's face when Thor and Loki took the Cosmic Cube. It's like he's finally received some kind of closure. They couldn't get that thing out of his sight fast enough. It has put him through so much already. It's just such a great connection between the movies and now it's time for Cap to just be Cap in modern times.

I don't know, I think I'd put Thor saving Jotunheim and the frost giants on an equal footing with Cap stopping the Red Skull and saving the world. But I agree with the point in principle.

Especially since Jotunheim wasn't even 'his' realm, yet he still fought to save it.
Wonder what that Frost Giant who says "run home little Princess" would say now

Well Steve's actions are bets remembered though since most of the people of Earth are probably aware of his exploits and heroism whereas they wouldn't be of Thor's deeds in the nine realms as of yet.
If anything though, I wonder if Steve will have any issues with people recognizing his face when he's out in the public in civilians clothes, assuming of course if his face was shown in history books when talking about Captain America and such. I mean, if I saw Abraham Lincoln walking on the streets or riding a motorcycle, I think I'd be able to spot him easily.lol |

I'd like to see that explored in the next Cap flick. His whole...being has to be public knowledge. His history and how he came to be in this time. Cap will be a pretty big celebrity and that's how it should be. He just handles it a little differently than Stark.

I think we saw a glimpse of that in the celebration scene after the invasion was stopped. Most people had Cap tatoos/merchandise, with Stark coming second I believe. Hulk was mention like twice, and Thor once. There were also portraits being painted of Cap, and in the interview the girl talks about Captain America.
Also, Cap was the most hands-on when it came to saving civilians as he was the ground fighter, while Thor, Iron Man etc were more focused on the portal or Loki. So that's probably why people remember him the most. |

I liked the backbone Cap displayed in this ..... very worthy of being a "Captain". He was already apprehensive about Stark's persona to begin with so everything Stark was doing was testing his patience. Keep in mind also that Loki's staff had a hand in the heightening of the friction. The scene between he and Stark where they're in each other's faces is pure gold. Loved every bit of the tension and the "put on the suit". Whedon pushed Cap's character to the edge (personality-wise) instead of playing it straight laced like in CA:TFA ..... Kudos to Joss.
