Hawkeye is out already. I recently got him!

Hope they make a 2nd Wave. I think we need them to do Chitari, Black Widow, and Agent Coulson w/ Destroyer Gun. Also would like Mark VII Iron Man. Could prob do a couple alternates like maskless Captain America, Sleeveless Thor, etc.

What's really interesting (to me), and also maddening, is that they HAVE a head-sculpt for a maskless Cap. AFAIK, for the 6" figures. They just... won't seem to release it.

Back in like Jan or Feb of 2011, there was a NY ToyFair or something that Hemsworth and Evans attended. It was there that we got a shot of Hemsworth holding up the 6" helmet-less Thor figure... which Hasbro then went and did not release, instead finally (months and months after the film came out, and I'll never understand that) releasing a 6" Thor with a non-removable helmet.

So for the Avengers line, they used the exact same 6" Thor body, but finally put the helmetless head sculpt on it.

That same photoshoot showed Evans standing next to what appeared to be a 6" First Avenger-costume maskless Cap figure... which we've never seen again.

It's REALLY annoying.

I'm getting ready to try to customize my own maskless Cap figure. We'll see how that goes...

Thanks to Nightcrawler's helpful tip, I spent part of Monday driving in a widening circle around southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, looking for the 6" figures. No luck anywhere; the empty pegs for them were there, but no figures. Man, what a pain.

I haven't seen ANYTHING of the Avengers line new except the Iron Man Mini Mugg was just put back out since the first run was recalled. (hulk mini mugg too)

Aggravates me to no end when there are THREE walmarts right on top of one another here and this week there's a shareholders meeting with all kinds of people here from all over the world this week and the stores are too lightly stocked.

FINALLY scored 6 inch Cap and Hawkeye today from a Walmart in the area of the base I'm stationed at. (Hurlburt, FL)

This may not mean much to y'all, especially since I'm new to this forum (though, I have been following this thread a good week so), but I want to encourage all you collectors to keep on the "hunt" and beat those scalpers out of their prize. I've been making walmart rounds DAILY to 3-5 different stores(I REFUSED to pay outrageous ebay prices) and today FINALLY I got all the Avengers 6 inch figs. (Fyi, to anyone in the Duluth/Lawrenceville GA area, start hitting the stores!) Point is, be patient yet tenatious...you'll find 'em!

Can anyone recommend what kind of paint (gold paint) is good for applying on these figures that doesn't come off easily when you touch it?

The gold on some of my Iron Man 2 figs are wearing off.

Seriously need help!

It's great that they have better paint on The Avengers figures.

Well Like I've said in the past, it ticks me off because I'm where Walmart is BASED with THREE supercenters within a 15 mile radius, not ONE has the Walmart Exclusives out!
This week alone you'd think they'd have stuff like that out because Walmart has HUNDREDS of Stockholders and Associates from all over the WORLD here.

lol Tho at times it's like being in Hollywood. I guard Rough-cuts of all kinds of movies for Walmart, Yesterday the Guy from the Dirty Jobs tv show was at the Walmart I normally go to filming a commerical either for bounty or that new Household Cleaner he has going.

Anybody else pre-order the NECA bobbleheads?

I have'em on pre-order but I'm going to cancel as nobody from NECA has stated if Black Widow and Hawkeye are in the works. I prefer a whole set over just 4 of the Avengers. Shame too as they look pretty cool! Oh well. Guess I"m saving 80 bucks.

Yup. That's a brilliant job, and it's what made me realize I might be able to do something similar. Which, for me, is way better than the +$300 that figure is currently going for, on eBay.

I just don't have any faith that Hasbro is ever actually going to release the maskless Cap head for the 6" figures. I mean... what are they waiting for? Maybe I'm wrong and they'll release it in a second wave or something, but I haven't heard even a rumor of that.

Hasbro's marketing of these action figures just baffles me.

Got a message from NECA and they said they have no plans to make a Hawkeye or Black Widow figure. However, if these sell, those two could easily happen.

Still canceled the order this morning though lol

I have checked every Walmart in DuPage County in Illinois and have not found 1 6" figure yet, not even the signs for them. Very frustrating!

I think I just missed 3 3/4" Black Widow and Hawkeye at the Times Square Toys R Us because there were a few Skrull Soldiers left. Damn.

It's great that they have better paint on The Avengers figures.

I would recommend something like Testors Model Masters Acrylic paints. It's a type of paint that you can add a little water to a dab of the paint and it will go on very easily and smoothly. I would stay away from enamel paints because those usually turn out being very tacky and sticky. Hope that helps!

Been visiting all the WMs in my areas for several days now without any luck. I am seriously pissed off at this point because the gas is pretty damn expensive right now in CA. I wonder if I have to pay someone to look for them for me. Sigh.

Hey everybody! My local WM FINALLY got in one of their cases and I was lucky enough to find another set of the 6'' figures this morning; I'm waiting to see if somebody wants it, but if they don't need it, would anybody here want it??!?!?!? I scored my set a few weeks ago, so I don't need another one.

I'd be asking $105 plus S&H. I need to see what reply I get back, but if anybody here might be interested in case they say no, lemme know ASAP!!! Thanks!

Glad I decided to stop by Wal-Mart on my way home today. Scored a 3 3/4" Black Widow and Hawkeye. Now I've got all six Avengers in the circle pose on my bookshelf. ASSEMBLE!
