I dont think the Soviets will play any part in the movie. They dont work as the bad guys anymore. At least not in cinema. Too political. Most Teenage kids nowadays dont even now what the UDSSR was. I think Marvel will use Hydra instead.

Weren't the Soviets featured in a successful superhero movie set in the '60s just last year (X-Men: First Class)? I think it could still work without it getting too political. And if kids don't even know what the USSR was, maybe this movie will educate them.

Well I disagree. Captain America and Hawkeye's arguments are golden, and Black Widow is key in WS.

Yeah, I mean... Steve will have to have slept through the whole back story of The Winter Soldier. There's no getting around that. And it doesn't even make sense if they wanted to get around it. What's cool about the WS story is that Cap is on ice the whole time the Winter Soldier is trained, brainwashed, and put on his missions during the important events between WWII and present day.

Yeah, the movie is crowded enough. Cap and Hawkeye can argue in Avengers 2.

Who's to say HYDRA didn't go Soviet after the War?

In any event, the "crystal ball podcast" a few weeks ago that accurately leaked a whole ****load of the Phase II movies indicated that Bucky, Zola and "Russian terrorists" would be the baddies; and this was well before the "Winter Soldier" subtitle had been revealed to the world. So I tend to believe the rumor.

Because, god knows, audiences couldn't keep up with six Avengers, plus Nick Fury, plus Maria Hill, plus Agent Coulson, plus Loki, plus Dr. Selvig in that massively popular blockbuster movie that came out a few months ago.

I just listed 11 principal players that worked just fine in Avengers; yet *you're* worried that audiences won't be able to keep up with a movie that probably features only seven principal characters....? (Cap, Falcon, Agent 13, Bucky, Zola, Black Widow, Hawkeye)

Didn't know I was worried and don't recall mentioning audiences at all. I expressed my opinion on what I think the next Cap solo movie should or shouldn't have. I'm not interested in any of these heroes' solo movies being full of the characters from the group movie, other than possibe cameos.
