Most likely the levy storyline will end next season. What esle can they do after them? I mean Chtchlu or however you spell his name could come and be the next big bad.

No, there's no way they could do Cthullu justice. We're talking gigantic space deity monstrosities, it would be too much of a cop out to do human forms with the Cthullu mythos.

I believe someone suggested Behemoth here so I think it would feel natural if it was the next baddie because there is some story of how The Behemoth and the Leviathan fight and would fight in the end of days.

they could just make up a new creature. maybe some cosmic being from another world. Death, did say at the beginning of this season that he was contemplating moving to another planet.

Or they could just return to smaller stuff. There's no rule that every season has to one-up the last. Personally, I haven't even noticed the growing nature of the threats since the introduction of angels in season... what, 3? 4? Everything since Cas burst into that barn or whatever with lightning casting the shadow of his wings over an entire wall of the building has just felt like more of the same people-shaped threats with nothing but lip-service to tell me that they're worse than the last set of people-shaped threats.

9 is basically guaranteed after how Mark Pedowitz talked about giving this show a proper send off rather than cancellation and the fact he is a big fan of the show.

He'll probably be put on a leash again as they decide what to do with him. Or they'll get rid of him and we'll suffer through the pain of losing him again. I think he'll at least last another season though.

I have a feeling he'll finally move on at the end of this season. Having him just return to normal would seem to trample all over the rules they've set up regarding ghosts, where they always inevitably devolve into vengeance-driven psychopaths.
