I had to watch Revenge tonight because my girlfriend is a fan. We watched the entire line-up .
I didn't think Once Upon a Time was very good but still seems like it would be fun to watch. I'm interested to see what happend with Cpt Hook. Revenge is ok. I wouldn't normally watch it but Madeleine Stowe plays a great villian. Also I spotted Out of all the shows 666 Park Avenue was the one I enjoyed the most. I like the set-up but wonder how the show will do with longevity. It's very dark and disturbing but hopefully doesn't become repetitive. Last edited by bullets; 09-30-2012 at 11:28 PM. |

Sadly 666 premired to less than stellar ratings. 6mill viewers last night, down 3mill from its lead-in Revenge. But since no show has been able to sustain itself in that slot for years, hopefully ABC understands.

I (somewhat distractedly) watched it for about 40 minutes yesterday...was not impressed/didn't get it. I won't be watching any more episodes.

Yeah, the pilot really didn't do it for me. It was less me not liking it, and more just a total lack of any real surprises/scares. It's like the trailers/promos spoiled all the good stuff.
Hopefully the coming episodes are better, and the ratings don't take a bigger hit than they already have.

Every report I've read said 7 mil, actually. It actually beat The Mentalist in the demo rating though, so that's a plus. It all depends now on how much they hold on and how creatively the show goes from here. It definitely has potential, but I think they might have to up some of the hijinks from here on out. I'll definitely continue to watch through the season, as there's really nothing else on at that time for me, but I didn't hate it all.

I'm like 20 minutes in and I dunno if I'm feelin this. Seems like they are just trying to do a cheap knock off of the first season of AHS to me for some reason

I still need to watch American Horror Story but this seemed like the next best thing for now.

Whoopi Goldberg is coming to ABC’s new supernatural Sunday night drama 666 Park Ave. The View co-host and veteran actress-comedian will guest star in the ninth episode of the show this December.
In the episode, Jane (Rachael Taylor) seeks out Maris Elder (Whoopi Goldberg) a mysterious shut-in and longtime resident of the Drake, who helps Jane understand her supernatural connection to the building by using a radical method of hypnosis. Goldberg’s most recent acting stint was an arc on Fox’s Glee earlier this year. If you missed the 666 pilot, you catch it on ABC.com. http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/10/02/wh...berg-666-park/

When the main girl first walked into the apartment she looked shocked by it yet all she could see was a long hallway lol

I watched this OnDemand last evening....it was interesting. I will probably keep up with this via OnDemand because my Sunday nights are packed.

I thought tonight was a good episode. The ending was kind of bizarre though.

It is slowly getting better. I thought the pilot was kind of dull, last week's got a little bit more intriguing, and this week's was even better than that. I hope it can keep this up.
Loved the backstory for Gavin and Olivia's daughter.

The episode was pretty Meh for me though the actress who played the obit writer is definately one to look for in the future. I just find the characters too boring and things move too slow in terms of scares. One critic suggested that the show takes itself too seriously and should just go all out camp instead of trying to be serious ala the exorcist and the Omen. I think i'd prefer if they drop all the pretention , and just full out horror/camp everyweek . I'd be silly, but it would at least be entertaining.

Vanessa Williams is such an underrated actress. The look she got on her face when Jane was telling her about her dreams was so subtle but just screamed that she knew something about what those dreams meant, and how they could have possibly been related to what happened to her daughter with the pain that started to show on her face as well.

I wish I felt the same way, but after 3 weeks...I almost ready to give this show up. It's just not entertaining and I feel the freak of the week episodes don't really do nothing to enhance the overall plot. To add to that...I feel the plot is really just dragging. It's like a bad movie where all the characters just continually make bad decisions.

I thought it gave the show much needed depth.
Quote:
It's been moving slowly and somewhat predictable. I thought the worst thing was Jane heading to the basement in the middle of the night to investigate a strange noise. I don't think any woman would do such a thing outside horror movies. Next week's preview was intense though and things will really pick up it seems . |

With the consistent ratings downfall, I wonder if this will even get a full season.

I kind of like the show. But putting this up against The Mentalist & Homeland at that time slot was a stupid idea

Well, what are you going to do, just not air anything at 10 on Sundays?
The problem was the way they promoted the show. Title aside, the way they've promoted it makes it look barely supernatural at all. It just looks like a straight up soap.
