Like 90% of the time, the reasons these actors do these movie tie ins is because they have to. Its why you get performances like Chris Evans in Captain America, just phoned in, lack luster efforts.
Phoned in would be putting it nicely for Tobey's performance in SM2. Wow he was terrible

It's one of the comic book page collectibles.

Uhm okay, so it's not Josh Keaton or CDB. But someone who has voiced spidey in the past? Mike Vaughn (:P) or maybe James Arnold Taylor. Though it didn't really sound like any of them. Perhaps Rino Romano.

Donatello from TMNT 2k3 series, never voiced Spidey before, and I think he sounds good

Yeah I heard that to, but apparently it isn't.

So I dunno.
I know he's none of those:
Mike Vaughn
Rino Romano
Neil Patrick Harris
Josh Keaton
Chris Barnes
James Taylor Arnold

If anyone from a previous game who voiced Spidey, Josh is the closest, but since that's not him, it could be the guy from Rise of the Imperfect more than anyone else

Who is the guy who voiced him in MUA?
Maybe it's him. He was pretty good there too.

PS: Quinton Flynn is the name.

I love the new "swinging into action" gameplay video. It really shows the nod to Spiderman 2 and how they are finally taking that to the next level. This is definitely what I've been hoping for.

I am not getting hung up on the "web in the sky" thing and I think it's retarded to do so. I will get hung up on that when we get into virtual reality and we are looking up to aim our web line at precise points on whatever buildings are around us.

I love the new camera perspective because it really does bring a new dimension to the experience. I had wanted the option for a first person perspective while web swinging, this gets close to it and is probably more workable than not being able to see yourself.

It looks like this crew was right there along the rest of us who fell in love with Spiderman 2 and played it for hours upon hours just swinging around. They "got" it and know that any title since has failed to take that experience to the next level.

I always felt like the swinging in Web of Shadows was extremely fun. It had the same issue with the sky web attachment thing but the animations were really cool and it definitely had a high fun factor. It was probably the only redeemable quality about WoS.

IMO, the game mechanic that really takes the swinging to the next level is the web rush. I love how it allows for you to move across the landscape in a quick fashion, bouncing from one object to the next much like how Spidey would in the comics. The real awesome thing about web rush is the ability to be both precise and accurate as well. I remember playing past Spidey games and trying to get somewhere specific and it sometimes would end up being a real chore. For example, trying to climb the antenna on top of the Empire state bldg. Haha...remember that? You'd start to climb, the camera would begin wigging out and Spidey would look like a bug having a seizure. Web rush solves this issue.

Considering from day one the devs have stated how this game is trying to be more grounded in reality, I think it's retarded to not get hung up on your web lines magically connecting to thin air. Spider-Man 2 didn't have a problem with it.

I'm not about to write the game off, but I have a funny feeling that a year from now we will still be saying that SM2 had the best swinging mechanics.

Yeah, but from the tone I got from them, it looks like he may be more of an ally or even *GASP* a playable character (not counting Rhino and Stan Lee).

I like that he's honest. So many of those demo walkthroughs have driven me crazy because some of these devs SUCK. They're not telling people what they want to hear it's just "This game will show you an ability NEVER SEEN BEFORE... JUMPING!"

The worst was the guy for the Lego Lord of the Rings game.... He was talking about it like they reinvented the wheel for using the original movie dialogue and all the journos were just like "Wow, that's amazing". Greg Miller felt real and kept the dev on his toes.

Yea i agree. I think in the games industry, more than any other, the journos are deathly afraid of asking the tough questions. I have not heard ONE journalist confront IO Interactive and ask why they aren't bringing Bateson back. If i were interviewing one of these guys, that'd be the first thing out of my mouth. And with this game, i wouldn't be afraid to bring up the failure of EoT and ask how Beenox has learned from that, yet every time i hear some talking to Dee Brown they are saying at how great they have been with the license when at best, they're batting .500

So yea i gotta give mad props to Greg for saying what he said.

Hah i think Miller does a pretty good job with his interviews. There is another guy on IGN who absolutely SUCKS. I watched his interview with Randy Pitchford and it was just embarrassing that IGN would have someone like him interviewing Pitchford.

Seriously?

That game seems like they're taking several steps backwards, especially after the seemingly-impressive LEGO Batman 2. Then again, free roam Gotham City is hard to pass.

On the whole, E3 was unimpressive this year, though that's a rant for another topic.

I wish he used some of that objectivity on his review for the underwhelmingly bland Arkham City DLC.

That may be. But calling it "the story DLC ALL DLC should strive to be" smacks of hyperbole, considering it was lacking on the "story" side of things. He really shrugged that off just to gush endlessly over Batman, which he often tends to do. If the DLC was a collection of bonus maps, then that would be fine. But I've seen more impressive story DLCs than that one.

Again, opinion. He's not the only one out there who enjoyed the DLC, just like you aren't the only one who didn't. If all you wanted was a little more story and a reason to put the game back into your system, then the DLC was more than enough. It depends on what you wanted going in.

The clip was basically the prototype for that scene -- you can't help but notice the similarities. However, I still stand by what I said. The prototype looks better than the finished product.

You should watch the Up at Noon show when Greg interviews Doug Heder, producer at Activision about ASM. He calls him out on Edge of Time, SM3 and Activision as a whole. It's great cause Doug basically laughs and smiles...he has no defense.

I'm at that point right now to play a bad Spider-Man game imagining it was TASM
