I think if this game garners a huge amount of praise, Activision may get it through their domes to start investing more money into the Spider-Man games so we can get something that parallels to Arkham Asylum. Sure this game borrows combat elements, but it sure would be nice to get that AA level of detail. Welp, here's hoping this game over-achieves

I wish, unfortunately, if this game does well and flies off the shelves, Activision won't see that as a sign to give Beenox more time, they'll take that to mean that we fans want the EXACT same thing again and they'll force Beenox to push out another game a year from now. Spider-Man will NEVER get the time it deserves because Activision believes this to be a yearly license. The best we can hope for is that Beenox follows suit the way they did with this game, we'll get a crappy Spidey game next year, but Beenox will have some of their team at work on another ASM like title for release 2 yrs down the road.

Sad but true, well hopefully these guys already started production on another SM game, while working on this one. I doubt it, but hey, wishful thinking at its best. You're right though Pat, once Activision notices people taking a liking to one of their products, they overwhelm them with the same product, hence Call of Duty. If games were 100% made by robots on a production line, Activision would churn out a Spider-Man and Call of Duty game every other month, and that will be the day when I never play either of the 2.

Well hopefully Beenox is able to split their studio into two teams again so that one can start working on the next one from this universe and be a 'movie tie in' for the next film coming out in 2014 and then of course the other team will work on the Spidey game coming out in 2013. It's like producer Doug Heder said in that Up at Noon interview...after SD was released the Beenox office grew and they used a small team to work on EoT while the larger team worked on ASM. So yeah, it would be nice if they used that same approach, this way we get a quality Spidey title a couple of years from now with a mediocre one next year.

Wouldn't it be awesome for a boss fight in a future Spidey game where you fight 2 villains at the same time?

E.g. Sandman and Vulture teaming up, you try to take Vulture down in an air battle while Sandman is causing a sand storm that you're in the middle of, throwing some attacks at you as well. Then if you kick Vulture to the ground or a roof or something, Sandman tries to protect the wounded Vulture while attacking you or something. I think a battle like that would be epic as hell and something that hasn't been done before.

Another possibility is that you could have a sequence in a Spidey game where it's Kraven trying to kill you and Lizard, with Lizard trying to kill you and Kraven and you trying to defeat Kraven while protecting Lizard and then cure Lizard.

Or like in the movie, you try to defeat a villain while you've got Police Helicopters and SWAT teams on your trail.

CBMs I enjoy the most at this moment: 1) The Avengers, 2) The Dark Knight, 3) Iron Man 3, 4) Iron Man, 5) The Amazing Spider-Man.

CBMs in the near future I'm most looking forward to at this moment: 2) Thor 2, 3) Man of Steel, 4) The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 5) Guardians of the Galaxy (would be higher in the list if it wasn't for how much I hate the film Super from the same director).

Iv always wanted Spidey to take on the Sinister 6 and, like you said, having to fight multiple bosses at once.

I'm curious to know if Activision will allow reviews to be posted about ASM prior to its release. It seems they usually embargo reviews until the release date and sometimes after the date. I hope we get some early...I don't plan on reading any of them because I'd like to go into the game mostly spoiler free but it would be nice to see some numbers.

This will be annoying the first few times, it will be awesome to make their moves against one another
It makes me think of that scene against Scorpion & Ock when Spidey found he got his powers back in "Spider-Man Battles the Insidious Six"

Rhino is going to be like Shocker in Ultimate Spider-Man, I'm really getting that vibe from Rhino's fight in the parking lot here

It was a smart way to go from that standpoint. Beenox started small with level based games and then worked their way up to a bigger game with free roam and more content. They used SD and EoT as a way to figure out what works best for Spidey and then poured that knowledge into this game.

Faster, but more importantly, with greater accuracy and precision. It's like I mentioned before in past Spidey games it sometimes felt like a chore trying to get a top the Empire state bldg and climb the antenna. Web rush makes things like that possible with ease.

so is this game supposed to spoil anything major about the movie?

I'm debating whether or not to pick it up before the film or wait till afterwards.

If you don't want to risk being spoiled, it's better to wait.

As cool as it would be to fight all 6, I'd imagine it'd have to be pretty choreographed. Soooo many people would have broken controllers/consoles/TV screens otherwise.

A boss fight like that would be cool. But in that episode of TSSM Peter was actually rendered unconscious and it was actually the symbiote that pulled off that fight and beat the 6. I wouldn't mind that type of battle but please leave out the symbiote...frankly I am just tired of the damn symbiote.

That fight they keep showing has no opening cutscene, nor a closure, there is a big possibility he will be like Shocker and Boomerang in being available in street missions to fight
