OKC being down at half time, or even going onto lose this game doesn't mean it hurt OKC more. They still have fresher legs they're just not playing good basketball.

Well bynum did say they knew how to play those guys. They are a jump shooting team with no post presence at all. Play for the jump shot and they are very beatable.

They're not getting that high screen to mid range jump shot that Durant and especially Westbrook love that got them the blow out in game one wen not only did they get that shot but they made it nearly every time.

The Lakers lost. Can't stop a run, no legs, Kobe isn't clutch, and everyone's making dumb plays.

An icy 3 from Durant.

Usual stuff. The obligatory opposition run to put OKC back in contention, the dumb play(Gasol telegraphed a pass and it was picked), and Kobe went into don't give a **** mode and just chucked up contested shots without even attempting to make space.

I mean did Kobe even set his feet before taking that three? Pretty sure he went up right off the run.

I read that Kobe hasn't made a game winning shot in the playoffs since 06

I have a problem with that since clutch is much more the game tying or game winning shots. It's closing out a game whether that's bringing your team back with 5 left, keeping them in it with 5 left, etc. |

Well, I already wrote off Lakers' chance to win in this series after their heartbreaking loss in game 2, but this one still stings. No matter what, the team needs help, and I hope the front office will start figuring out what to do in the off-season. It sucks but the reality is that this team just lacks too much depth to go far in the playoff.

They probably coulda held on if they kept going to Bynum in the second half. Guy killed em in the 1st half. Then he only managed to get 4 shots in the 2nd? Really?

That being said Kobe goes into his mode because of those issues. He's right and wrong to do it but when Bynum is fronted and Gasol isn't looking to score, he loses any small semblance of patience he has.

Bryant faulted Gasol for not playing aggressive enough. It was also Gasol's turnover that led to Kevin Durant making the winning 3-pointer with 13.7 seconds left.
"Pau's got to be more assertive," Bryant said. "He's the guy they'releaving [open]. When he's catching the ball, he's looking to pass. He's got to be aggressive. He's got to shoot the ball or drive the ball to the basket. He will be next game." the nerve of this mother****er Kobe when he missed 8 of 10 shots in the 4th quarter. That is EXACTLY why I hate this dude and his nut riding minions! |

It's the reason Bryant shoots like that in the first place, I don't see why people don't understand this. Everybody loves trying to stat me to death about games the Lakers win and how much Kobe shoots in those, but the simple fact is he doesn't force the issue when everybody else is playing well, most nights. And when he doesn't see maximum effort, he's definitely not passing. But last night in particular, he was rolling pretty good thru 3 qtrs, he just didn't have enough to finish it off, which is a common theme. Mentally, he thinks he's still Kobe from 04-07, and he's not anymore.

I'm rooting for Indiana now to upset Miami in this series just to hear the backlash of the Heat's downfall.

Herculean effort from Wade & especially Lebron, that's the type of Lebron we don't see enough of. But I can't see how they can sustain that type of effort, not only for this series, but in the next if they get that far. That was NBA Live 95 type sh**!

I can see all the Heat "fans" jumping back on the bandwagon. I seriously need to move.
