Life is too short to go through it being ashamed of who you are because someone else thinks you should be. It's your life, not theirs, and they have no right to force you feel that way unless you give it to them.

People should be allowed to do whatever the **** they want, as long as they're not hurting anyone. Mind your own ******* business.

Your beliefs don't make you better than anyone, your behavior does.

You can choose your family. The people you happen to be biologically related to aren't your family, the people you feel the closest to are, whether or not those are one and the same.
All of those are very good.

Some I've been living by for years myself.

Here's one:

Never spend your life waiting for something.

I've seen people who've wasted years of their life waiting. Waiting for a situation to get better, waiting to be happy, waiting due to doubt or fear or whatever. I've done it a bit myself. And it's horrible. It's not even life, IMO. Rather, it's the closest thing to the living dead you can get in the real world.

Alright, I'm gonna tell you this because we're friends. But sometimes, in the heat of the moment, it's forgivable to go ass to mouth.

Funny thing is how those elements play with each other. Because more often than not those people ignore that they're stupid so they are not ashamed of anything.

Most of my personal philosophies have already been mentioned. This one obviously comes from TDK, but I'm a firm believer in it.

A few Bukowski quotes

“My ambition is handicapped by laziness”

“You have to die a few times before you can really
live.”

“there are worse things
than being alone
but it often takes
decades to realize this
and most often when you do
it's too late
and there's nothing worse
than too late”

“An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way.”

Bukowski is one of those guys who helped shape my views on the 9 to 5 world.

But, being Anubis, I'm surprised you didn't put his quote "Sometimes, you just have to pee in the sink."

I'm para-phrasing Alejandro Jodorowsky:
