Possible. Except for one key loophole. How does Bruce get the cane? Hes clearly limping and injured. Bruce Wayne wouldnt have to act like a leper so no one would suspect hes Batman.

The first 30 minutes of the Movie will definately have an action scene involving Batman (And thats where he'd most likely get injured and need the cane). Its a Batman movie afterall. I just refuse to believe that the entire first hour is only going to be about Bane blowing stuff up while Bruce sits back in his pjs.

Doubt it. First 12 mins is already for Bane and Catwoman's intro. Next minutes are probably to show a reclusive Wayne.

I mean if the movie really is 3 hours, they could hold off Bane's initial "landing" in Gotham for a good 45-55 minutes if they wanted. There's just so much we need to catch up on and so many characters to introduce. I think we need to live in this "peace time" a bit before the war starts up.

If this happens, this will be Bruce trying to get out of his funk.

The way I see it, Bruce is going to be a sad panda at the start of the film and to shake it Bruce might put on the suit or even get in shape to put the suit back on and hurt himself leaving him worse off.

I can already envision Bruce walking around a dust covered Bat cave, getting the itch.

Well Batman Begins first hour was Wayne traveling the globe while Gotham continues rotting from the inside out. Bruce will have something to preventing him, thats for sure.

That's what I surmised...half-jokingly...a while back as a ruse. If it's not, then it could be because of injuries from TDK, or because for something sustained/exacerbated while he was away and reclusive.

I think the movie starts with the Bane/plane scene, then to Wayne...and see where he's at in life. It probably takes at least about 20-30 minutes until Bane comes, and until Wayne puts the Batsuit back on. This is, after all, not you're typical Batman approach. Sorry if that ruffles your Batfan-feathers, but there's a lot about this that's a different approach overall.

So according to mass speculation..Bruce Wayne is using a Cane to further conceal his identity. Lol. Ummhmm.

No, the consensus is that he's using it to help him walk because of sustained damage from injury.

Watched BB recently and Bats doesn't show up until almost exactly 60 minutes into the film. So it's not like there isn't precedent for Batsy not appearing early on. Anyway, they have to introduce all the characters, including the reintroduction of Howard Hughes Bruce.

I clearly saw Batman sprinting at the end of TDK as the cops chase him and he gets on the Batpod. His legs were fine then.

The only way he couldve sustained such an injury is if he's been doing a little "Spelunking" secretly.

The way hes looking at the Bat when Lucius shows it to him. Its like he wants it real bad, but he cant have it because hes forced not to be Batman anymore.

Bane will slowly build notoriety among the pacified Gotham. The GCPD will try to deter him with no luck. Bats will only be back once Bane offensives grow more violent and things get really out of control.

I actually think Bane will introduce himself in a big way. Perhaps at the football game. Why the complexity of the sewer trap will be lost on all those that go down there.

Exactly.

Actually, that's one of the few things I really liked about Drive. The moments of quiet made the action scenes a lot more impactful and visceral. Batman's absence should actually improve the film. It is Bruce Wayne's journey after all.

Has anyone debunked any theories on whether there could be flashbacks to the years between TDK & TDKR?

I have a theory. I dont know how legit it is or how the movie will play out. But here goes. The way i see it, Gordon is the only one who knows that Batman never killed those people. Hes his true Ally. If Bruce wanted, he could secretly help Gordon. Behind Alred's back ofcourse because he wouldnt want him to know. Hence the "Your not Batman" lecture when he gets caught.

8 whole years have passed. A man who is so passionate about something couldnt possibly hold out for that long. The vision of his parents being shot before his eyes still haunts him. He needs to take his anger out on something. Bane's intro is the plane scene, just as the Joker's intro was the Bank robbery. No doubts about that.

Blake probably won't take her to jail. Just keeping her there to talk. If he does arrest her, I doubt her intro has anything to do with jail/prison.
