The 5 strongest marvel characters

That list isnt exactly relevant Original poster was talking physical strength..some of those characters are placed by overrall power(ie energy projection) (see X-man, moondragon, etc..)

that list is funny.. i mean where is Nova (full nova force)..? He certainly should be in the tier 14 range Annihullus?

what about Dr Octopus... his tentacles are amazing in strength. Also I think Mockingbird and anyone with the Mandroid battle armor should be up there.. have you seen the mandroid battle armor!!! Electrostatic pulse beams... those would DESTROY Annihilus and even Eternity...

Honestly, I don't think Thanos is top 5 on raw scale... That said I think he'd beat down pretty much anyone you might name in that top 5 because his already high (albeit not top 5) strength getting augmented by the fact he has energy manipulation.

Here are my list of the five strongest Marvel superheroes, in no particular order:

1) Gladiator
2) The Silver Surfer
3) Thor
4) Hulk
5) Hercules

Here is my list of the five strongest Marvel villains, in no particular order:

1) Thanos
2) Surtur
3) Tyrant
4) Kurse
5) Maestro

These are my thoughts too. Would the old school Juggernaut factor in too?

Thanos can simply beat almost anybody..but he needs the infamous "prep time" to do so. He's one of the only characters to beat down Galactus...although the battle got cut short he kicked his butt for awhile.

He is usually prepped up pretty decent all the time though, so odds are he never gets caught at his "base" eternal raw strength. I would say Hulk is usually stronger than him on a given day..so too maestro then.

Here are the 5 physically strongest characters in Marvel, in my eyes.

1.) Silver Age Mangog: Far and away in my opinion. The fact that some people pick ANY Hulk over someone like him baffles me, Hell, it baffles me that no one has evevn mentioned Mangog. Yes, the hyperbole, strength of a billion beings or whatever. But the guy has beat down Thor, extremely easily. KO'd thor with his tail, broke his arm by throwing him to the ground with one arm. Taken on ALL of Asgard, while walking through it at a casual pace. He was a threat to Odin. And I believe he killed him at one point. Not to mention that Mangog feeds off negative energy, in terms of physical strength, in my eyes, Mangog back in the day is in a tier all by himself.

2.) Kurse: 4 times as strong as Thor, very very strong. It took the combined might of Thor with the belt of strength, and Beta Ray Bill to take him down, which they hardly did.

3.) Thanos: I contemplate him at number 2. Not sure though. His strength is SO overlooked because his weapon is his mind. He is strong. He is very strong. We saw him slap around a regular hulk and the thing, and mock their strength. The two of them combined are prety strong. He held his own against a warrior's madness thor with the power gem. Didn't seem too harmed. Beat Classic Drax who was a planet buster, in a strength contest. And Thanos got pissed and beat the silver surfer to death in 7-9 punches. I haven't seen the surfer take that kind of physical beating.

4. Classic Drax: Due to my lack of knowledge, I just have to, butt he was a planet buster

5. WWH: I'm sorry WBH fans, but WBH hasn't done anything for me, he was around far too short. I'm giving hulk the benefit of the doubt cause he's the hulk. stalemated the sentry (holding back?) who is still a monster in his own right

all i know is that Juggs is hulk level strength and invulnerable, so unless Mangog can do psychic attacks juggs isn't going anywhere.

EDIT: so i looked it up and the consensus seems to be that they would stalemate eachother

yeah, in terms of strength though, Hulk isn't even remotely close to Mangog. It's not even close. and again, Mangog back in the day, he was a threat to Odin. I know Juggs is invulnerable, but so is mangog, and again, mangog's strength is rediculous.

Besides, this thread is for physical strength, not a fight, not durability. So, for this thread SA Mangog >> Juggs

thanos has beat silver surfer nearly to death with about 3 punches and has stood there basically laughing at strikes from a powered up thor. take from that what you will.

Thanos prepares specifically for a lot of fights. Other times, Thor and the Hulk and even the Surfer have caught him off-guard and had much more even fights with him. He also got owned hard by Odin.
