Har Har. I mean i dont like the guys movies. And i dont like directors who over-use special effects to the point where everything just looks like it was done on a computer. Pacific Rim (the trailer for example) looks awful to me.
Justice League may need to be more out there than Man Of Steel because the amount of super-powered beings are increased. But i don't want to see it become some Guillermo Del Toro movie. I still want earth to look like OUR earth (like MOS or TDKTrilogy) while they go crazy on the sci-fi elements. He's not doing it anyway. They need Alfonso Cuaron (somebody with that balance). I liked the Ben Affleck suggestion but i see now that it would be absolutely wrong for JL. I guess i just wanted a good director at first without thinking of how it would fit. hellboy films were very grounded tho just with fantastical beings he'd be an ideal director he can do big action, fight scenes, drama, comedy, etc.

I think Alfonso Cuaron is the best choice, David Yates would be good too, also hes not doing it but Guillermo Del Toro would be fantastic

Yeah, but I still think having a story writer who understands the canon and has experience working on Superman and Batman films to assist on JL's characters is important. |

Man if Cuaron can bring his Children of Men style of filming to the Justice League film, that would be great!

Absolutely.Someone said David Yates also like someonee said, I think he could definitely manifest some really cool things for a JL film.Half realism/half fantasy which is probably what the movie is gonna look like visually anyway as opposed to TDKR Trilogy.MOS does indeed seem like the perfect template. It's just the transition from Snyder to whoever gets picked could be tricky.Considering Nolan-esque feel probably won't be apart of the JL movie..

I would love Cuaron to do a similar stylistic change like he did with the Potter film. Not make the JL film darker, just different. |

Cauron doing Justice League is definitely something that could work. But I think I would like to see him tackle Batman.

That's true. If not JL, Batman would be unreal with Cuaron.

Naww Rian Johnson for the Batman reboot.Maybe even for JL he handled 'Brothers Bloom' amazingly, one of my favorite movies and it is a ensemble piece.Clever, would revise and possibly re-write JL script if it is garbage, who better then him on script duties if it came do to it.He's definately on that Nolan level of writing.

Brick is the best movie of the last ten years. Easily. I'd be so ecstatic if Rian Johnson were the director of the Batman reboot, he'd be so much more suited to Batman than Justice League, but Id be happy if he directed Justice League.
Alfonso Cuaron for Justice League and Rian Johnson on Batman sounds so perfect. If anyone could top Nolan, I really feel like itd be Rian Johnson. No other director excites me like he does for a project like this, I really feel he could top Nolan. |

Mayimbe is still playing coy with his JL scoop.
http://twitter.com/elmayimbe/status/292722060625604608 I hope he posts it after Sundance... and it better be worth it. |

Not me. I don't want the JL film to have the same visual look or tone as the Avengers. I would love to see a JL film shot much like Children of Men was visually. Love the grittiness. Imagine Cuaron directing the JL film with a look and feel of the DC Online Universe Trailer? Wow! Children of Men should have been nominated for an Oscar for Best Picture and Cuaron for Best Director. If Cuaron is hired for the JL gig, I hope he can hire his Children of Men cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki for JL also. |

I had no problem with the way The Avengers was shot, save the decision to shoot it in 1.85:1 (when the rest of the MCU films are in 2.40:1). But if Cuaron is involved, he should definitely bring Emmanuel Lubiezski or Michael Seresin for JL. |
