Latino Review even indirectly refers to it:

Meh. I know a certain character thread for a non-existent character (in the MCU) that's going down the tubes. lol

Though I (and many others) half expected it may been just a repaint of War Machine (though I did hope it was actually IP). Looks like it will probably just be nothing more than a nice in-joke for fans. Still at least it got the conversation going on what Iron Patriot in the MCU could be like.

RIM's been posting a countdown. There was a post before that saying 5. I'm assuming it's for his next scoop. I can't wait to see what it may be.

I know he's been posting a countdown.... but the addition of 'tech' into the countdown can't be a coincidence (unless Tech means Days in another language?)

I dunno. I just assumed he'd cut and pasted those from somewhere and that could have been present in the original. Though you could be right.

Coincide. One word that, in this case, explains my skepticism for an IM3 tie-in game. It has to be out the door by the time the movie comes out.

It's a shame we don't see many Marvel character games (where art thou Nolan North voiced Deadpool game? ), except when it's a movie tie-in and we all know how that usually goes. Iron Man has great videogame potential, but we only really see them try something for a movie tie-in product.

Also I think it's funny they're using Epic Games as AIM's HQ, but aren't using them for the potential game.

Damnit, I loved the look of IM2's War-machine armor.

I wonder if it's truly gone, though, since the Iron-Patriot armor is not as bulky and the original really is iconic. If it is a new armor, does that mean the Mark II in Tony's house is a replica, or is the orginal but stripped of Hammer-tech (Tony would never allow that stuff to remain on one of his suits anyway)?.

And what does this mean for the story?
Is Rhody going to be what the government wanted in IM2, a state-sanctioned Iron Man? Or a replacement after Tony goes off the radar? I don't see him agreeing with this.

Why the patriotic look? Tanks don't get painted in the colours of the flags of their country, so is this a propaganda-stunt like in Captain America? a reaction to an Armored suit painted in the colour's of the Chinese(?) flag?

I hope that's not real cause it sucks. An IM armor thats mostly gold just sucks aesthetically wise. To me what makes the gold so cool is that its in the face arms and legs only( with red taking most of the torso) specially the face it has a nice contrast. And whats with the indented lines on the sides of the faceplate? that's just overdoing it for the sake of it. Don't fix what doesn't need fixing.
