Hopefully this is accurate. Seems more and more likely though, if tickets are going on sale tomorrow, theaters absolutely need to know the runtime at this point for scheduling.

2:45 should be more than adequate...

But what if the credits take 45 minutes from all the people who contributed to the chant and all the extras

Does the runtime include the credits?

Isn't that usually or no, or depends?

2:45 seems likely and it feels like a nice runtime. I'm one of those that think that even though TDK is quite long it doesn't feel like it at all. Maybe that's just because I love it so much.

Doesn't feel as long as Avatar, that's for sure.

165 minutes seems like a good runtime. While it is nice to get as much Batman as we can, realistically speaking a 3 hour movie is quite the investment. It can be done and done well, but I'd rather a movie be as long as it needs to be to tell its story than overlong for the sake of being long and "epic".
On a non sequitir, am I the only one feeling like the movie is going to be far more straightforward than theories are playing it out to be? That's not to say it won't be a good, deep story, but there are all these ideas being thrown around that seem likely and credible ( Spoiler!!! Click to Read!:

Well, one thing's for sure - Bane is definitely not Ra's. No chance at all.

2:45 is fantastic. But it depends on the pacing. I saw Prometheus last night, and it's a 2 hour film i think. And i LOVED the pacing, a slow build-up but it felt like it was 30 to 40 minutes longer than what it was. So people shouldn't complain. Rises could very well feel like it's over 3 hours, or it could feel a lot shorter than what it is. Or feel exactly what its run time is. Just depends on how it's paced.

First act in Prometheus was rushed? Gotta disagree, the slow opening and middle was what made the last act kinda rushed cause it had too much left to tell. Though the rushed ending also helped the movie with it's great intensity, so it was a double-edged sword.

The time before they reached the planet was great with David and everything but the whole initial exploration up to the storm felt rushed to me.

It didn't feel rushed to me. It felt frantic, and in a good way..like I was along for a ride and the rollercoaster was going up and up climbing slowly then BAM went flying. Made it feel more urgent and real IMO...I can see how some would call it rushed tho.
TDKR being that length is perfect cos when something is 3 hours in can seem abit too big..2 and a half..well not quite as epic..right in the middle brings the epic and cuts the boredom
