If it is good then it will get cancelled. That is the Disney / MARVEL way

I hate that its modelled after the movie. While I loved the film, I thought that only worked bc it was a film. For an animated series, Id rather watch something based on the classic Avengers which EMH was

Falcon is going to be a younger and greener rookie in this show. He is meant to be the audience's eyes into the story.

Last time I checked, The Avengers movies was based on classic Avengers as well .

I second that!! Avengers EMH is/was a great a show and definitely classic, it kinda reminded me of the Spectacular Spider-man and the 90's X-men shows, in the sense that it was just great storytelling...

The only problem i have with this new show, is that we won't be getting some of the characters that was featured on EMH, like Black Panther, Wasp, Ant-man and more recently Ms Marvel!!

Im really just going to Miss Wasp a whole lot now!! and I was so happy when they finally included Ms Marvel!! I just hope they will at least skip the origin stories, and hopefully the first episode will be a whole lot better then Ultimate Spiderman

While I've only seen season 1 of EMH, I loved it.I'm sure I'll love season 2 as well. Makes no sense for me to start from scratch. As much as I hated Spectacular being scrapped, I understood it was a Sony product and Disney wanted their own creation. This however was made by Marvel but then again it was in development before the Marvel/Disney merger. Hopefully it can be just as good as EMH.Also I think this hints at Falcon being in Cap 2 and becoming an Avenger in the cinematic universe.

Well the artworrk looks nice. And I said comments from loeb the other day that it will have feel/tone of the avengers film. If that is the case that sounds good to me. And I hope the show has some solid writers on it.

Even if this series is good, it won't make us forget that it is the reason why EMH was cancelled. Marvel/Disney will never catch up to WB Animation's DC superhero cartoons if they keep cancelling good series before their time is up to make way for another series.

Okay, so the pattern with Marvel Animation is: Excellent hybrid of mixed media into one show? Get rid of it. If Marvel would get rid of their "holier than thou" attitude, then we might actually get a Marvel show that is like Justice League or JLU, where every Marvel character appears, heck we could even have storylines from comics unfold and have the ever changing roster have different costume changes as a nod to the comics... oh wait.

Marvel really needs a new cheif. Things have been going in the crapper since Joe Q started to make his own fan fics publicly known.

- Marvel knows how much fans hate the show. They know, that they messed up when they could have brought both kids and adults fans together, instead of focusing on the children. Regardless of what their PR BS makes it sound, the reason Ultimate Spider-man has been renewed for a second season, is that the network ordered the second season WAY before the series debut. The publicity stunt Marvel pulled by stating the show has been renewed by popular demand, is just a strategy to try and tell fans that people like this show maybe you should give it a second chance.

- Ratings for the show are not good. He then gave me the following example: If you have 10 people watching a channel, then you introduce a new show, and instantly 200 are watching, but after 2 weeks the number goes down to 60 you still have bad ratings drop, yet its way better than the original 10 they had before the show. Agent X wants you to look at that statement carefully and you will know the “TRUE” meaning of Marvel ratings PR stunt.

- Chances are more than high that Ultimate Spider-man will conclude after season 2

I understand why they canceled the EMH, it had started before Loeb got his current job as head of comic media for Marvel. He said it was too serialized, they wanted a show that was more single episodes so that fans (probably younger fans) could miss one episode or two and not feel lost. (Something that sounds stupid until I remembered that that was how Superman and Batman by Timm was.) Also I thought I heard him say he wanted the cartoons to be in one universe like the movies were in one universe. I could be wrong but I thought he wanted all the new cartoons to be connected.
But also Marvel probably wanted the cartoon to be more like to movie to promote the movie and in tern promote the book. James Robinson I head brought up a point about the JLA movie that went something along the lines of this, that it will be like the New 52 comic because it needs to promote the comic otherwise its fans will go looking for the comic the movie is promoting and not find it and the sales of the comic wont go up. Why would the movie be about a past version of the JLA that no longer exists and in the comics never happened? Its like when Dark Knight came out, in the comics Batman was "dead." When Captain America came out he was lost in time. But when Spider-Man 1 came out Green Goblin was everywhere in the comics. When Spider-Man 2 came out it was Doc Ock. When Spider-Man 3 came out Marvel did the whole Back in Black storyline and promoted it to death. They want the movie to line up with the cartoon and the cartoon to line up with a comic.
I LOVED EMH, and I am so upset about the cancellation that I am almost unwilling to give this new show a shot, I was so upset that I stopped watching Ultimate Spider-Man, but I have no choice. Once EMH is gone its gone like Spectacular Spider-Man, so I hope the new Avengers show is good with great writing. I will hold my judgment until I see a trailer with animation and see a few episodes to see what the story lines are like.
For all we know Avengers Assemble might be better than EMH, maybe its the greatest cartoon ever... I mean we don't know what its like yet.

Love that, and It's a good move if that's what they got planned. I love seeing other Marvel heroes in USM for that reason...

Since they said its early in production for this show. My bets is fall 2013/early 2014 if things get delayed. Now sure I hate emh ending. But let's give this show a chance. We only have early details and things could change.

Like I said in usm thread I personally don't think loeb/joe q are all bad. Now there is things of there's I like/disliked over the yrs. If they can just learn from there mistakes and find the best sited folks to be the future show runners of what ever shows and jus be more the dudes signing the paychecks I don't see reason to can them now.

Disney XD has announced premiere dates for its new animated series Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

The successor to the cable channel’s popular The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Avengers Assemble will receive a preview Sunday, May 26 at 11 a.m. ET/PT before making its official premiere in the same time slot Sunday, July 7. Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. will debut Sunday, Aug. 11 at 11 a.m. Both are part of Disney XD’s Marvel Universe programming block.

“Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” reunites the most popular super hero team — Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow, along with newcomer Falcon, marking the first time in animation history this distinct team of heroes will join forces. Led by Iron Man, the heroes train and live together in their new headquarters in Avengers Tower. The planet’s most dangerous villains don’t stand a chance when the Avengers assemble – whether they are stopping Dr. Doom from conquering Asgard, Attuma driving the Atlantean Army into New York City or Dracula unleashing vampire hordes, the Avengers must work together to succeed.

A Special One-Hour Preview of “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” To Debut Sunday, May 26 on Marvel Universe on Disney XD

The popular Marvel Universe programming block on Disney XD will expand with more action, adventure and humor with the debut of two new animated series “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble,” which continues the exciting adventures of Marvel’s most popular super heroes – Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow and newcomer Falcon, and “Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.,” which features the incredible Hulk, She-Hulk, Red Hulk, A-Bomb and Skaar; it was announced today by David Levine, Vice President and General Manager, Disney XD Worldwide and Jeph Loeb, Executive Vice President & Head of Television, Marvel Entertainment. Kicking off the marvelous summer programming is a special one-hour preview of “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” on SUNDAY, MAY 26, followed by the series premiere on SUNDAY, JULY 7. “Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents S.M.A.S.H.” premieres SUNDAY, AUGUST 11 (all at 11:00 a.m., ET/PT) on Marvel Universe on Disney XD.

With the hit series “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man” as its centerpiece, Marvel Universe is the destination for kids and families to enjoy original animated Marvel TV content, including series and interstitials that uniquely spotlight the legendary Marvel characters while bringing their mighty powers to life. “Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man” season two debuted in January 2013, and to date, is Disney XD’s #1 animated series in target demos Kids 2-11 (265,000/0.7 rating), Boys 2-11 (197,000/1.0 rating) and Boys 6-11 (138,000/1.1 rating).

The record-breaking blockbuster film “Marvel’s The Avengers” gave worldwide prominence to the most popular super hero team — Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow. “Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” reunites the team, along with newcomer Falcon, marking the first time in animation history this distinct team of heroes will join forces. Led by Iron Man, the heroes train and live together in their new headquarters in Avengers Tower. The planet’s most dangerous villains don’t stand a chance when the Avengers assemble - whether they are stopping Dr. Doom from conquering Asgard, Attuma driving the Atlantean Army into New York City or Dracula unleashing vampire hordes, the Avengers must work together to succeed.

Joining the Marvel Universe block on Sunday, August 11 is “Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.” Hulk has long fought alone to protect a world that sees him as a monster, but his friend Rick Jones has taken it upon himself to film the world-saving exploits of Big Green and his team to change that image. In this never before seen team up of Hulk, his cousin She-Hulk, A-Bomb, Red Hulk and Skaar, Marvel’s mightiest super heroes form an eccentric family living under one roof, working together to tackle threats that are too enormous for other heroes to handle. From trying to house break their giant red pet T-Rex to stopping Ego the Living Planet from crashing into the Earth, the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. must learn to balance Hulk-sized action with everyday family-sized problems.

“Marvel’s Avengers Assemble” stars Adrian Pasdar (“Heroes”) as Iron Man, Fred Tatasciore (“Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness”) reprising his role as Hulk, Roger Craig Smith (“Wreck-It Ralph”) as Captain America, Travis Willingham (“Shelf Life”) as Thor, Troy Baker (“Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man”) as Hawkeye, Laura Bailey (“The Super Hero Squad Show”) as Black Widow and Bumper Robinson (“The Game”) as Falcon. Man of Action Studios (“Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man,” “Ben 10″) – comprised of Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steven T. Seagle – will serve as executive producer.

“Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.” stars Fred Tatasciore (“Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness”) as Hulk, Clancy Brown (“The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes”) as Red Hulk, Eliza Dushku (“Dollhouse”) as She-Hulk, Ben Diskin (“Codename: Kids Next Door”) as Skaar and Emmy Award-winning Seth Green (“Robot Chicken”) as A-Bomb. Starting to get excited for this show. Is it supposed to be good? I liked a lot about Avengers:EMH but I'd say overall that show was pretty lame.

I think Adrian Pasdar as Iron Man is a great casting choice.

I don't like his voice at all. He's not a bad voice actor, but he simply doesn't fit Tony.

It doesn't help that he's being forced in every Marvel production as Iron Man these days.
