No they're not or they would have done it for this book. The costume change JMS was talking about was the look after he put on the battle Suit. But Earth One Superman look is staying the same unless the artiest after Davis (if he doesn't come back) decides to do something new and add his own touch.

Yes and it's definitely Gary Frank's art, but blurred. The assumption would be that they've made Earth One it's own universe now, but DC hasn't confirmed it, so it's still up in the air until otherwise noted. I'd be fine with an Earth One universe, it doesn't take much to align what Johns established with Batman to JMS' Superman. The real test is when Morrison releases Wonder Woman: Earth One and seeing how that'll fit in.

It is all one universe when it comes to Superman and Batman. Johns and JMS pretty much confirmed this. However when Wonder Woman comes out I have a feeling that will change because I don't see Morrison keeping his story to fit in that world. I think Wonder Woman will fit more in the All-Star Superman universe than the Earth One.

Pretty much. Everything Grant Morrison writes is in continuity with what Grant Morrison writes.

Earth One will change around Grant I imagine.

Personally, I would prefer them all sharing the same universe and have the first big cross over be either Superman/Batman or Justice League. I just hope they (DC) had the stones to tell Morrison to at least make it fit with in the confines of the established Earth One.

There may be some constraints. Even though Grant has stated the his Action run is in continuity with his All-Star, the status of the Kents and Krypton seem to contradict this.

Also, for a big Justice League crossover, would you want all the League previously established? Because the EO's in the pipeline atm is Batman II, Wonder Woman and Nightwing.

Well right now you got Superman III, Batman II, Wonder Woman, maybe Batgirl. I would like for them to get Flash off the ground and GL before Justice League. However I hope that a Superman/Batman team up comes before that much like how TAS did.

So I haven't quite finished the book yet, but that scene about Fuzzball and the moon teared me up. Just a few short pages, too. Well done JMS and Mr. Davis.

Yeah a memo leaked at DC, apparently Dan Jurgens is writing a Nightwing: Earth One with Ethan Van Sciver on pencils, however, if it ever comes, it could be years given Van Sciver being a slow artist because of health problems.

Of all things they're planning a Nightwing: Eath One? Couldn't they focus on other heroes first?

Well like I said, it could be years away, and probably is considering we haven't had a second Batman to introduce him.

haha where do you come up with this ****?

EVS does not have health problems. He's the new artist on Batman The Dark Knight and he's doing a OGN with Gail Simone.

Superman: Earth One volume II was great. It really showed why Clark felt like he had to be alone. I do feel bad for him that he feels like he can't be close with anyone because he believes he could hurt them. I hope Volume III shows that Clark can let people in and he can get close with people. I hope also there is more interaction between him and Lois.

How about a direct quote from Ethan himself?

http://www.comicspodcasts.com/2010/0...an-van-sciver/

And then the fact that it became common knowledge to the point that several people talked about it, for example, in this review:

http://reilly2040.co.uk/blog/tag/ethan-van-sciver/

Or in the comments of this recent article by
Crash Recovery on Oct. 10, 2012 at 12:55 p.m.

http://www.comicvine.com/news/ethan-...knight/145342/

Is a direct quote from the man and several other people knowing about it good enough for you?

2013 seems likely, I hope they become 2 or more a year personally.

Good. The two year wait between Superman 1 & 2 made me sad.

I finally read Superman: Earth One volume 2.

Talk about disappointing. I was honestly in shock at how the female redhead neighbor was handled, and Superman basically allowing murder? That's just not right. Parasite was okay, although everything involving him felt so brief.

I did enjoy the issues and conflicts Clark explored with himself, particularly with what he should not do as Superman. But they took a step too far when he handed a people guns and allowed them to murder others.

The plan was there was suppose to be a book coming out every year. However Batman held that up.

I just bough Batman, it was phenomenal. Such an original take, yet familiar, on such a Classic comic story: The Birth of Batman. I thought I'd hate this and I actually really liked it even if Frank lifted his Batman design from the old Ultimate DC designs from Wizard.

I think it was more that he did want to influence the world on a geopolitical scale but can only do it through subterfuge. I don't think we were supposed to be left with the impression that meddling in foreign affairs is morally wrong to him but he had to figure out how to do it without causing an international incident.

I agree the message is pretty muddled.
