Default Unused X-Men Movie Script

There's an unused 1994 X-Men movie script written by Andrew Kevin Walker (uncredited writer of Se7en and Fight Club).

Here's the link to the script.

The link wasn't working for me, but I managed to find it on the site under Scif-fi and then X-men. Thanks!

Its not bad I think, its abit better than the X-Men script I think. However there was no Storm, Professor X was abit reckless and there was too much of Wolverine's Origins revealed I think.

Also I think the original Wolverine scenes in the X-Men movie, like when he was with Rogue, were better.
They shouldve set up Angel at the end to become Archangel, that wouldve been cool.

Well, in the comics, Wolverine does know a little bit about his past but not all of it. In Bryan Singer's X-Men, Wolverine knew nothing about his past.

I liked it better that way though.

In the comics I remember he didnt know much, like he was still tripping over it when Xavier and Jean went into his mind after he got his adamantium ripped out, well they need it was Weapon X, just not alot of the procedure.

I like the fight agianst ID-Wolverine though, the spiky one that was in Fatal Attractions that Charles was following around. It kinda takes alot from Fatal Attractions in that way.

His wings get badly damaged at the end of script. So, I guess Walker set him up to become Archangel and it hinted that the villain would be Apocalypse in the sequel.

Brotherhood of Evil Mutants:

Magneto, Sabretooth, Juggernaut, Toad and Blob

Humans:

Cameos:

Here's a brief story summary from Wikipedia.

Quote:
Walker's draft involved Professor Xavier hiring Wolverine into the X-Men, which consists of Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman, Beast, and Angel. The Brotherhood of Mutants, which consisted of Magneto, Sabretooth, Toad, and the Blob, try to conquer New York City, while Henry Peter Gyrich and Bolivar Trask attack the X-Men with three 8 feet (2.4 m) tall Sentinels. The script focused on the rivalry between Wolverine and Cyclops, as well as the latter's self-doubt as a field leader. Part of the backstory invented for Magneto made him the cause of the Chernobyl disaster. The script also featured the X-Copter and the Danger Room.
Note: The person on Wikipedia who wrote this, forgot to mention that Juggernaut is a member of the Brotherhood in the script.

Here's one fact, long before the writing of Andrew Kevin Walker's X-Men script.

Quote:
Throughout 1989 and 1990, Stan Lee and Chris Claremont were in discussions with James Cameron and Carolco Pictures for an X-Men film adaptation. The deal fell apart when Cameron went to work on Spider-Man, Carolco went bankrupt, and the film rights reverted to Marvel Studios.

I didn't really like the fact that Storm and Rogue weren't in it. That was something that I really liked about the 1st X-men movie personally.

I was not too bothered with the fact that those two characters had no appearance in the script.

Regardless of what we think of the script, Fox would've never approved it or given it the budget which judging from the script would need like $200 million.

Considering the script had Sentinels and other characters that need CGI.

Anyway, it's stupid that Fox couldn't see how good the script was and how it's the X-Men movie made for die-hard fans of the comic books.

Well, it may have been for die-hard X-fans, but they only account for a small percentage of people who could potentially see this movie. There's the business aspect as well.

That Script was fun to read, but this would have been a really expensive Movie.
