Unfortunately, comics are a lot more commercially viable these days, because the multimillion/billion movie industry that has obviously increased sales and exposure. (I assume)

Well, for me it was easier getting the 40-75 cents for the average comic. LOL

I collect the Collector's Editions here in Britain. They're like £2.80 and you get about 75 pages.

I always eye them up in my local WHSmith's but I just have no idea where to start and all the stories are always at part 3 or 4. Not sure I can get into the art now-a-days either.

Picked up the newest issue of CLINT (vol.2 issue 1) which seemed ok.

Although Millar's writing is variable. Some of his stuff is great but some of his stuff is terrible!

I'm not sure I really like reading comics, in terms of individual issues. I much prefer to have them in TPB form. I just feel they are much nicer to read and to travel with if you need something to read.

My comics generally just gather dust in their little box.

Someone we know works at a country park centre and someone came in with tonnes of graphic novels. We got them for free.

They included:

Essential Fantastic four vol 1
1602
Alan Moore's Swamp thing vol. 1-11 (or something like that)
The Eternals
X Force vol 1 & 2 (The weird pop art one)
Mouse guard


Pretty sure there was more than that as well.

Yeh, some times you can get really good stuff, but mostly it's just a load of rubbish. There's a big second hand book shop thats like a 5min walk form my comic shop and they have a few boxes of comics. A hell of a lot of IDW Angel comic are in there... and Transformers stuff from Marvel...
