Gremlins 2.

Yes, I'm serious. That movie is pure absurdist bliss.

for me these movies are perfect
the avengers
star wars original trilogy
spider-man 1+2
superman 2
ghostbusters

i say these films because i can watch them over and over and never get bored, they are fun and you come out of the cinema (or finish the DVD) with a smile on your face..
A close contender is captain america aswell...loved the film..
i'm not into serious films..i can watch them but prefer to be entertained.

^ I know. Again, its like this is a personal favorites thread for some posters. I can handle people listing movies that I can't see as perfect when they are actually well-made classics. But stuff like F&F and Saw???

Like I said earlier, I love Roadhouse, its one of my all-time favorite movies. I've probably seen it 70 or 80 times (not exaggerating). But I would never in a million years call it a perfect movie, as it does nothing but entertain, with little to no artistic value. Maybe that's part of the equation though. If someboy sees movies purely as entertainment and escapism, then action movies may be "perfect" to them.

Red State. I can't find a flaw watching that movie. The performances are good, the story is good and takes you places you didn't expect. Hell, Kevin Smith even moved the damn camera.

Silence of The Lambs

It's the only movie I've ever given a solid 10/10 to. It's not technically perfect as the IMDB 'Goofs' page will attest to, but in my book there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Not a single boring moment, not a line of dialogue out of place, not one actor who doesn't give a great performance. I'm not hoarding my 10/10 scores, I'll gladly give more out if I find other perfect films, but so far Silence of The Lambs is the only one.

Good choice. That movie has more than earned all the praise thrown it's way. Even without Lecter, it would still be a solid thriller.

Django: Unchained. Some may argue the last half hour is unnesicary, but for me it solidifies Django as the bad ass he was born to be.

Back to the Future. So well thought through, written and directed.

Casablanca. This film has aged so much better than most films of that era. Really holds up well to modern cinema.

The Kings Speach. Remember the Titans. Both such uplifting films.

Memento. Enough said.

The Lion King. The best animated feature ever.

Rango (extended ending cut) the best modern animated film.

Akira. Best Japanese animated film I've seen.

Shutter Island. Some may wish it was as open ended as inception, but in the context of the movie that's an invalid criticism.

(500) Days of Summer. It's an extremely enjoyable romantic comedy that's just as for men as women. So a mirical.

Taken 2. Haha, just kidding.

My listing would probably just be a list of my Top 5 favorite movies. But most of them I have practically no issue with whatsoever. Maybe not considered perfect by certain standards but I consider them superbly acted, written, all that jazz.

The Departed
Sideways
Spider-Man 2
Rebel Without a Cause
There's Something About Mary

There are only two things that trip up The Departed for me; that stupid line Madolyn fumbles out of her mouth about Billy being vulnerable, and the rat at the end. Without those two (very) minor issues, it'd be perfect in my eyes. There are a few amazing movies like that, I think -just shy of perfection, only missing the mark due to a single clumsy line of dialogue or peculiar scene.
