Tell me about it. Saying Star Wars is top 20 material, but it's sequel which improved everything (except maybe Han Solo) is represented only once on all those lists. However, I'd love to watch another one of those, preferably about cinematography, because I'm a sucker for list shows.

Outside of the fact that a ton of the best movies aren't American and "can't" be listed, the movies/ordering they do pick is just retarded.

There is no way Singing' in the Rain is the 5th best movie ever made, and I love Singing' in the Rain. Nor does it make any sense that City Lights - a movie made in like the 20s - would go from being #76 in 1998 to #11 in 2008.

It's dumb.
I still have a problem with Citizen Kane being #1 over The Godfather

It does. Doesn't mean it's not entertaining.

I find all of the Bond movies entertaining except for Golden Gun. That one was boring, and that's the worst crime a Bind movie can do.

Yeah. And it's not even Welles' best film, that would Touch of Evil.

My worst Bonds:

1. The World is Not Enough
2. Diamonds Are Forever
3. Moonraker
4. The Man with the Golden Gun
5. Live and Let Die

And yes, I'd rather watch Die Another Day than any of those again. As for A View to a Kill, I guess I'm just too indifferent towards it to even lump it in with the worst ones.

What made TWINE so bad?

It was pretty much the definition of mediocre for me.

Actually, now that I think about it, TWINE kinda reminds me of how I felt watching Van Helsing. A whole lot of "I see, this is how not to do it!"

Speaking of Bond, what's people opinion's on the Skyfall trailer? I think it looks very good and could mark a unique Bond experience. If everything goes right, it's definitely going to be among the top Bond movies.

Also, here's a trailer of Casino Royale in the style of the Skyfall trailer I found online. Really good.

They make more sense than AFI's lists.

I have to agree with that.

I never understood why Lawrence of Arabia is on AFI's list. As much as I love the movie, it's not an American movie. It's a British movie.

I think Skyfall will at least be good, if not great. Sam Mendes has made some really good movies and the ones that weren't as good still had their good aspects. Javier Bardem should be an awesome Bond villain too.

But it's nowhere close to the bottom of my list of Bond films (and I've seen them all). It's flawed, but I do not get the hate.
Lack of humour, lack of gadgets, lack of credible villian, lack of secret base (what WAS the secret base? An underground river?) incomprehensible action (come back Nolan, all is forgiven). A simply CRAP movie that I saw once in theatres and wont ever watch again. I was checking my watch almost the entire time.

How can Bond go from being one of my favorite Bond movies with CR (top 5) to one of my worst Bond movies (bottom 3, maybe bottom 2) in the space of ONE MOVIE? A horrible horrible movie. I didn't get much of an impression with the Skyfall teaser as it is so quick, but as I said earlier if I am getting a 'Quantum' vibe off the full Skyfall trailer, I'm out and I will wait for the next change of direction for Bond.

I don't think Pitt gets the credit he deserves because he is good looking.

I thought he was FANTASTIC in Snatch. He was great in 12 Monkeys, great in Inglorious. How many more movies do I have to name?

As for Depp, since the first pirates (which he was amazing in) he seems to be phoning it in. I don't think I've enjoyed a Depp movie since Pirates 1 and I thought he was disasterous in Alice.

Javier Bardem sure looks menacing. And I think that Road To Perdition is a great movie, so Mendes sure has got the talent.

He needs to stop working with Tim Burton. Both are totally spoiling each other. Letting the other do whatever they want as if it was genius.

I kind of agree with that. But Depp was truly awesome in the first pirates, like Wolverine in X1, Downey in IM1, Arnie in Terminator, the performance you give is so truly it mints you as a mega star.

Pitt is famous because he's good looking. He's also underrated as a character actor because he's good looking. They should stop giving him leading man roles because, despite his leading man looks, he's at his best in quirky supporting roles.

Absolutely. Once upon a time they made one or two really good movies together. But now they just bring the out the worst in each other.

I would've liked Crystal Skulls better if it wasn't for nuke the fridge and fu**ing aliens, but George Lucas wrote the story. Go figure.

With that said,

Evil Dead 2 is better than Evil Dead 1.

Godfather II is too long and too boring. I never cared for Vito's backstory either.

Godfather III isn't as bad as its been made out to be. People love to use to Sophia Coppola as a scapegoat, but I had bigger problems with the film (needless incest subplot, no Tom Hagen, the ending).

Die Another Day is actually a good movie until Bond gets to Iceland then it goes downhill after that.

That's so strange. Depp is also good looking. But few people can underestimate his talent.

Depp and Pitt are both overrated and underrated in different areas; with some mathematics and other fun stuff, they're both rated just fine.

I agree. Both get a good amount of praise, and not just for their looks. Both have had great performances in roles. If Pitt wasn't a great actor, he wouldn't have been in leading roles for nearly 20 years. It's not like all good looking actors are leading men. Some do fade away because of their lack of acting skils.

Some stay because his looks attract the bucks. Then they become popular and constant news (he did this, he married that, he cheated this, he adopted that) and that popularity is hard to be forgotten.
