If Phead plays fantasy football like he did comic contests, keep your eye on him.

Luckily I turned on the Niners game
It reminded me to go into the draft before this one with just 8 minutes left. And I was first pick

I'm feeling pretty good... I think I can muster 6 to 8 wins... hopefully enough to get me in the playoffs...

Butts, I missed the draft... again. Starters are decent, but this may be an uphill battle for the Lemurs.

Matt is looking to build his team early this year... going for broke in hopes to achieve the dream team he had back in '07... though we all remember how that turned out in the playoffs... lol

That was a rough year. I was stacked, Tom Brady and Randy Moss the year that they broke basically all of the single season records, Super Bowl Plaxico Burress, LaDainian Tomlinson in his prime and break out year Heath Miller....plus that mean Baltimore defense. And all of my players decided to take the same week off...and it was weak one of the playoffs.
Mind you, the following year I went on to win the championship with Kyle Orton as my starting QB. I basically had to build as I went that year. However, I haven't made playoffs since and have placed in the double digits every year since. But this year, I am definitely looking for a rebound. after a draft filled with sleepers and risky picks. This was my drafted team: QB: Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning, Matt Flynn RB: Frank Gore, Cedric Benson, Ryan Williams, Taiwan Jones WR: Mike Wallace, Santonio Holmes, Alshon Jeffery, Brian Quick TE: Jason Witten, Lance Kendricks PK: Graham Gano TD: Pittsburgh Steelers Through trades and free agency I have rebuilt into this: QB: Peyton Manning, Blaine Gabbert, Matt Flynn RB: Frank Gore, Donald Brown, DeAngelo Williams, Ryan Williams WR: Brandon Marshall, Mike Wallace, Brandon Lloyd, Santonio Holmes, Andre Roberts TE: Jason Witten, Ben Watson PK: Shayne Graham TD: Seattle Seahawks Only 7 of the 15 players that I drafted remain. I've revamped more than half of my team. I've went from being the worst in the WR to having possibly the best group of receivers in the league and I've also turned a lackluster RB squad into having four starters. My QB situation may not be great, but I still think Manning will be top ten. His arm may not be what it used to be, but he still has the best head in the NFL. Though Blaine Gabbert is currently my backup, I don't believe for a second that the Seahawks will pay Flynn 8 million to ride the bench. He will be a starter in time for Manning's bye so I think it'll be alright. And even if he's not, Gabbert has a very good matchup against Oakland during Manning's bye week. Plus quite a few experts are predicting a breakout year for Gabbert. I gotta say, I am feeling pretty good about my use of free agency and trades and what my team has become. Fantasy Football Guys originally ranked my drafted team as follows: Quote:
My new and improved team.... Quote:

Now I have Matthew Stafford.
And all I had to give up was Peyton Manning and Andre Roberts.Matthew Stafford, Frank Gore, Donald Brown, Brandon Marshall, Mike Wallace, Brandon Lloyd and Jason Witten. Not bad for a guy who had the last draft pick.

Pretty happy with mine. Got to the Draft late, but I think I did all right.
Overview: Congratulations! You seem to have grabbed quality players at every turn of this draft. It's rare indeed to be better than the average team at the three core positions (quarterback, running back and receiver), but we think this team is. You must be among the favorites in this league and have positioned yourself to grab one of the playoff spots. But before you start engraving the trophy, realize that the draft is not the end of the story. Things can and do go wrong, so you need to remain diligent throughout the year to ensure you remain strong until the playoffs. Players we particularly like on this team include Jordy Nelson, Andre Johnson, Brandon LaFell, Michael Crabtree, and Jay Cutler. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they are typically being drafted. Bottom line:

I've got a razor thin lead now because Big Ben is doing less bad than Peyton

Well, it may have been ugly due to Stafford's three interceptions, but a win is a win. Plus I'd rather Stafford have an off week now than during the playoffs.

Made you an offer, not sure if you'll like it, but at least read my PM before you reject it. It actually makes a lot of sense.

15 points from Ashlon Jeffrey. Told you guys that he would deliver. He is a tight end playing wide receiver. He will be Mr. Redzone for Da Bears.
