Disgraceful isnt it?

Ugh, here's my original post since Thread Manager cut it off

One of the worst things about this event, IMO, is the horrible back and forth writing with Beast. And it's not even just this event. He's been mishandled ever since he initially quit the X-Men. He leaves Scott because he learns he's running a secret assassination team, yet still sticks around Wolverine when he learns that Logan is doing exactly the same. And now in one tie in, he says that he can't stand fighting against his former friends and is staying out of it, and now he turns around and shoots one of the closest friends he's ever had in the face. It's really making me dislike the character altogether.

Beast has been fine in Secret Avengers. But then again, that the only place I read him. and whenever he shows up in legacy.

That's nothing. He resorts to eating chunks of Iceman later on.

Well, you know Thor punched a kid in the stomach and Wolverine thought about killing Hope, right? I mean, I would mot be surprised...

That scene actually kind of made me like their fight, to be honest. It's so absurd it became less of a life-and-death struggle and more two bros giving each other noogies.

Well, I....am at a loss for words. Did Loeb write this issue? It tastes similar to Ultimatum.

I didn't mind the eating panel for the same reason Corp said. It wasn't enough to make me forgive the fact that they were fighting in the first place but at least it added some humor to it that allows me to almost not take it seriously.

It's not as bad as Black Panther knocking his wife out.

Oh how I long for storylines like the Shattering, the Twelve and Ages of Apocalypse (not to be confused with Age of Apocalypse)...

Ugh, those were pretty bad during their time as well. The Shattering started good but it went downhill fast culminating in a storyline about the Twelve we could have lived without.

At least the heroes didn't go around hitting little kids in those stories.

Is every character in this event ****ing crazy? As it is I am rooting for Cyclops and the X-Men because Cyclops has always been a favorite of mine. And at least his character is pretty consistent in his craziness.

I really hope this doesn't end with Jean coming back. I've never cared her her in any medium and I really don't want them to force Scott and Jean back together.

Jean can't come back until editorial changes in her favor, and even if she ever does she'll probably just end up being Wolverine's play thing which is what the guys at Marvel have probably always wanted her to be anyhow.

And yeah, everyone seems to be bat-s*** crazy in this event.
