http://www.infinitehollywood.com/201...ja-turtle.html

not to sure i'll wait till see them in motion, but looks like once again mikey has lost his weapons for the sake of the kiddys

yeah lets lose the nunchucks but keep the sai's and katana swords

Those designs look pretty interesting would like to see some more shots though because I'm not completely sold either way right now.

And really no nunchucks for mickey? I agree with the writer that could be disastrous for the show.

Well, Spectacular Spider-Man and Avengers looked like crap to me before I saw the art in actual motion, so maybe that'll be the case with this show. I just want the show to keep Mirage Comics seriousness.

Alex Deligiannis, the character designer for the series responded in a a tweet about the weapons:

"Regarding the weapons, thatís just one of many images that was used for the composite. Donít get your panties bunched, it's ok. Promise."

"Incidentally, what kind of sense would it make to "outlaw" two wooden sticks, but replace them with a swinging blade on a chain? Come on."

Whether that confirms Mike will still have the chucks isn't certain. I'm thinking it may be a bit like the old cartoon, where they really started to downplay Mike using his nunchucks. He often used a grappling hook, of all things, as his weapon.
alls not lost hopefully

No idea, but not sold on those designs. They might look better in action, but i don't like the giant hands and forearms.

It looks like concept art so we can't be sure this is how they will look yet.

Because kids could easily get one. It's not like they could walk into Wal-Mart and buy a sword. Atleast that's the mentality.

so looking at the info on the front page, mikey has the chain and scythe and don has a huge blade on his staff.

First look at the animation:

http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/03/10/te...s-nickelodeon/

The designs and CGI look kind of strange to me. They do mention it's a "work in progress", so I guess the CGI will look better over time.

Wonder what the thought process was behind giving Mike and Don blades.Makes me think the foot will be robots again unless they want this to be as violent as the original comics.

Some weird UK law about kids being able get and use them. That's why they affected the previous films.

In continuing with their nostalgic lineup, Nickelodeon will introduce a new, CG-animated Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Led by Jason Biggs, who will voice Leonardo, the revamped Turtles will follow the foursome as they emerge from their hidden lair for the very first time. It's set to debut in 2012.

when will those idiots learn that pure white eyes work only in 2D cartoons. in 3D they look disgusting.

the problem with the look right now is that they are in 3D. but the skin looks to flat and dry. they will need to give it some specularity.

trying to make the hands and forearms bigger was a good idea and i respect ti. but it doesnt work.

Imagi's TMNT had like one moment where Leo had white eyes. I thought it was a cool nod to what comic characters usually look like with masks.

They likely don't have the budget to make them look better. At least, not at that point.

The arms look weird to me in the 2D pic, but with the angles and how fast they move in 3D, I can't form a concrete opinion. Don't understand the bandages, though.

Have to wait and see what “funnier and ninja-ier" means and if it can top the 2k3 toon. I don't think they look all that tougher than past incarnations.

OK so we got SOME footage but still not much can be seen. I don't really like what I've so far to be honest but it says Work in Progress so hopefully there'll be some big changes.
