I don't hate the Cardinals. But a big part of me was and still is rooting against them just because of that whole Infield Fly Call. I know it wasn't their fault and they probably still would have won the game anyway, but I just thought the Braves got screwed on that one and should've had the chance to win.

Ironically though, I don't really want to see the Giants win either, but I don't want to have to sit through another Tigers/Cardinals World Series.

It wouldn't shock me if he was gassing again, but I think it's got more to do with him getting meatballs to hit. These pitchers will learn.

I say "again" even though there's no hard evidence, but when your power numbers grow while your on the wrong side of 30, and you played in the steroid era, you're guilty by association. Fair or not.

As much as it pains me to say it, he's better than Chavez.

It's funny because the only thing I even remember from that World Series was Kenny Rogers cheating by smearing pine tar all over the palm of his throwing hand, getting caught on camera, and somehow not getting ejected.

Yanks lose & Jeter is done for the remainder of the post season.

I honestly don't remember who won the series. I know the Tigers won one, and the Cards won one between 2005 and 2007, but its all a blur for me, as are all postseasons once the Yankees are eliminated.

By the way, does anyone else think the playoff schedule is bonkers? I mean the Yankees and Cards both played yesterday, but the Yankees had no day off before the ALCS. I know they did it this way so that there isn't a day without at least one game, but it's weird how both teams pretty much had no time to prepare for each other since neither the Tigers didn't know where they were going, and the Yankees weren't sure if they would be in the next round.

Tigers haven't won anything since '83 I believe. They only won one game that series despite being the overwhelming favorites, and that was the game Kenny Rogers blatantly cheated.

The scheduling ridiculously tight, but I guess that's what happens when every DS goes five and you've added that wild card one game playoff. Secretly I kind of enjoy it the same way I did the jam-packed NBA season last year.

There's the evidence.

How does this joker get away with this, caught in the middle of a WORLD SERIES game and nothing happens? Sadly it didn't surprise me with all the BS that's been going on in baseball for decades now.

The only way they win this series is if A-Rod steps up and delivers. The loss of Jeter is a huge hit to the team.

Someone is still mad. The Yankees should have just done what the Mets did in 1986 when Mike Scott was scuffing the ball, win the other games.

I'm a die-hard Cardinals fan, but I'd like to see Detroit win one. The city needs it.

Personally, I don't believe the AL teams have a snowball's chance at beating one of the NL teams.

He did it against the Cardinals, not the Yankees. I'm mad/flabbergasted because the man was caught cheating and nothing was done about it.

Yankees have not been hitting at all. Cano is hitless in last 25 ABs. That's the longest streak in a single postseason in history.

So are the Yankees. I can't believe this is the same pitching staff I watched all year string together 7 consecutive stellar outings.

Girardi gets ejected on his birthday. 5 total this year with 4 against Detroit.

Yanks are mentally defeated right now. They need to somehow regroup if they're going to have a chance.

A-Rod has nothing to do with anything because the entire team can't hit. Honestly, they were lucky that their pitching was great and Baltimore couldn't hit either. Aside from the ninth inning in game one of both series, the Yankees have struggled to score and no matter how good their pitching is these next games, they're not winning anything unless they can score some runs.
