Really wish I was more into baseball but great to see an SF team close to another championship. I skipped the championship parade 2 years ago but might have to check it out this year. It doesn't happen often.

he said cliff lee didn't have a cy young award and didn't have incredible postseason numbers.
this is also coming from the guy that once called matt cain a mediocre pitcher. |

Great game tonight! I was surprised to see us abuse Verlander like that. Great showing by Sandoval. He might be my favorite player on the roster.

Also, I dont think I've ever said anything negative about Matt Cain. In fact, he was the only starter on that team that I thought could shut the Tigers down. Although after last night, that doesnt appear to be the case.

Hard to win when you don't hit.
Better get our **** together at home or this will be a short series.

Leyland not showing much faith in the offense to bring the infielders in this early.

not surprised at all.
the giants are simply a better team. the tigers were a mediocre team throughout the regular season and every AL team in the postseason was underwhelming. going into the playoffs, i felt whoever came out of the NL was going to win the WS this year. |

Seems a lot of the Tiger hitters forgot there is a strike zone especially Prince.

Damn, every team I picked to win a series has lost, with the exception of the Giants vs Cardinals. And now, I doubt the Tigers are going to come back to win this.
But I think with the issue with the Tigers is the same as it was with the Yankees in their series. They didn't play great in their previous series, but their opponent played worse, which made them look better than they were. The Yankees struggled to win against the Orioles, and it showed with how horrible they were vs Detroit. The Tigers looked great against them, but the Yankees were so bad that anyone with decent hitting could've beaten them. Credit definitely goes to them for getting this far, but the Giants have definitely proven to be the better team to this point.

I'm surprised it's Barry Zito and Madison Bumgarner that put the Giants up 2-0. I would have expected Detroit's lineup to show some signs of life against one of them. I don't mind if the Giants win, but I wish the Tigers would for Detroit and Illitch.

Girardi told the press box to not announce someone was pinch hitting for A Rod to save him from embarassment. Pathetic and embarassing for Girardi and the organization.

Congratz to the Giants. I was hoping for a good World Series but oh wells.
For it to come down to Cabrera and for him to strikeout looking.

Damn, Posey was already up before the strike was even called. Imagine how embarrassing that would've been had it been called a ball. LOL
But congrats to the Giants!

Miguel Cabrera striking out looking on a misplaced meatball pitch to end the World Series. Classic.

Congrats to the Giants. Wish the Tigers won though, but at least it stays in the NL. They haven't won 3 straight WS in 30 years I think.

This is what Bruce Bochy should say, "I'm so grateful for the San Diego organization and their dudious reasons for firing me. So thanks to them for making all this possible and letting me move on to an organization that actually cares about winning."

We need a Marshall stack to hear whatever Allan H. "Bud" Selig is saying to Pablo Sandoval. There's more emotion at the ribbon cutting of a new post office.
Sandoval, had the 3 dinger game, but I think Barry Zito should be holding that trophy. He overachieved like nobody's business.
