Brainiac is TOO Big to be used as a 'secret villain' imho..at least in the sense of him being the MAIN villain. There's no way that he could be done justice in this film considering everything that's going on in this film.

I still don't think there is a secret villain, I'm convinced its Zod in his battle suit.

Hey I hope your right but I just think its Zod in the battle suit, I remember Shannon talking about the battle suit been a whole CGI creation and in those pics there's Faora and a guy in a mo cap suit no Shannon to be seen.

Then it must have been a stuntman otherwise I dont see why another guy would play Zod when Shannon's in mo-cap as well.

I still think it might be an alien or robotic henchman. And yeah, there were several mo-cap men.

He was confirmed last year when WB released a press statement with the casting of Shannon.

Shannon's confirmed it himself multiple times I really think its just due to a big reveal like The Dark Knight Rises did with Bane or Snyder & Cavill decided to have abit of fun.

Does anyone else feel that they really shouldn't rush these trailers out well in advance of the release date? I'm fine with the teaser coming out about now, but I feel like December is a little soon for another trailer.

It's just that it strikes me that general audiences aren't really aware of a films presence until a couple of months, even weeks, before it's release date.

I'm not an expert, but I'd think March would be an ideal time to bring out another trailer, and really kick off the marketing from then.

I think December is a fine time to debut another trailer. It will undoubtedly go up with The Hobbit, which will have a generally similar audience to MOS (fantasy/adventure). It's pretty ideal. After that, the marketing still won't kick into high gear until probably sometime in mid-to-late April, starting first with print (billboards, bus & shelter ads, etc) and then really pushing the TVs sometime mid-May.

I still contend (optimistically, to be sure) that the Comic Con trailer will see release sometime mid-Fall. Maybe online-only, but billed as some sort of internet-exclusive trailer.

Why not come out with trailers in December and March?

They're taking the Batman approach. Announcement trailer in the middle of the summer. First true teaser trailer in December. Final trailer probably in April.

I agree with this marketing plan, sounds good. No rush, they just have to make what is shown extremely memorable. That makes the July 20th teaser extremely valuable, because people will be chewing on that (and the comic con bits) until December.
