This would be one of the very rare times, maybe even the first time, when the costumed comic book hero/villain is actually less powerful than the person portraying him.

So far nothing from this movie gets me excited, starting with the directors. I have a bad feeling about this movie.

That's easy to say when you barely have anything to go by. I mean, Jon Favreau didn't exactly have me excited for Iron Man until it was deep into production.

Every time people bring up the choice of directors I'll just keep mentioning Jon Favreau who, before Iron Man, directed Made, Elf and Zathura. Marvel knows what they're doing.

No, but you would have never guessed that the guy could have made a great Iron Man movie with the movies he had made at that point.

Exact opposite for me. The more info that comes out on this movie the more my interest piques. This was easily my least anticipated phase 2 film, and now I'm looking forward to it just as much if not more than IM3 and Thor 2.

Obviously he won't wear that ridiculous mask or have that french curled mustasch. I'm thinking they'll go with some kind of black and purple outfit that looks fitting for a mercenary that specializes in hand-to-hand combat.

All I was implying is that they're not on Iron Man's level. Just like anything the Russos have done is not on this movie's level. Doesn't mean they can't handle it. In fact they'll probably make it great.

I think it will play a roll otherwise Batroc is nothing special. I mean, Batroc isn't great but his only distinguishing characteristic is his "honor" thing. I'm sure that will play on film and could keep Batroc returning in future films.
