I'm talking about comic book adaptations in general. Not only superhero movies have them. But they are dying out, or already did.

I do remember DC publishing one shot comics featuring the villains from Batman Forever and Batman and Robin when those movies came out. I avoided the Riddler, Poison Ivy, Mr Freeze and Bane issues for whatever reason but I really liked the Two Face issue.

I liked this one too. The Mr Freeze one is actually great. Paul Dini wrote it if I remember correctly. The Ivy one was decent too. Only read those three.

this was true. it was a big deal at the time, because NO movies ever kept the sets up after they finished filming, but so confident was WB that this would do great, they continued renting the Pinewood lots where the Batman 89 stages were built so they'd be ready to go for the inevitable sequel. then it was revealed that BR would be filming in California, for it was cheaper to do so there than over in England ( whether for tax-reasons or not, i do not know). and all those wonderful Batman 1989 sets went down the toilet! ![]() the one that kills me the most is the Batcave. in 89, it LOOKED like a Bat-Cave! mutiple levels, with a killer main computer terminal/area. in BR,it was clearly just one part of the soundstage, covered in darkness to hide it.

Thats one of the biggest shames in film history, all those amazing sets just thrown away? You'd think WB could of saved some of them somehow, imagine if they did and used them as part of a six flags theme park, it would be iconic.

It should make sense to use them for theme parks, but they aren't always ideal. Some set pieces just don't last well. Things need to be pretty sturdy for theme park traffic, even if it is just used in a queue line. It's a shame. Speaking of this, they used pretty huge sets in Batman Begins...wonder what happened to all of that? I'd imagine it's been recycled in some way for other films.

Anyone else have this souvenir magazine when they were young?
I loved it. ![]() I had a book version for '89 and Forever. And then I had a similar magazine for Batman & Robin. I remember they came out before the films so they really helped me get hyped for the movies, back in those pre-internet days.

Michelle Pfieffer will always be the best classic Catwoman.
Sorry, but I don't really like or enjoy Anne Hathaway's performance as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. But I give her credit for it. |

I remember watching World's Finest on cartoon. Love the catfight between Harley and Mercy. Though I think Mercy makes a better sidekick/henchwoman than Harley. |

I rewatched it last night, I just love that Christopher Walken was able to be apart of that movie.

Incidently I realized this was Christopher Walken at this point of his career when he wasn't yet playing the kooky oddball characters that he would later be known for. Before BR I just knew him from The Deer Hunter and Dead Zone.
