To me...each of Nolan's Batman films got farther and farther away from the Batman character. In the suit style and just in general.

Is it wrong that I want a modern BR suit?

This is what I've had in mind for a while, something similar mind. Obviously loose those belts and straps, do something with that cowl. I would reduce the size and thickness of that armour too. However, armoured like the New 52 design, but fabric like that Earth One costume as well. This would offer Batman great protection and movability.

I agree there. I would want those qualities reduced and or erased.

I'm not a fan of it entirely either. But Its got that fabric and armour look I've been thinking of, just slightly. Not the design in general, just the idea of it.

Like the idea of it not necessarily the entire execution. I think Batsuits like this make sense when we talk about live-action film.

Liked the design, but I think the ears are a bit too long and he have too many belts! But, kinda dig it

I would argue that the most intimidating Batman has ever looked in movies has been with the yellow oval.

Dunno about the new movie as the real suit but these might be fun if the movie had a sequence of rejected ideas.

That always makes for a funny montage. For example:

VIDEO-CLick to Watch!:

But I don't think we're going to see that because we're done with origin stories. However, if we see something in his Batsuit display or in a cabinet somewhere, that's fine.

Agreed. But I would argue the yellow oval had nothing to do with that and that Batman in 1989 and in Returns would have looked even more intimidating if the yellow logo wasn't there. That way, he would be a complete shadow of the dark.

I love Bale. Especially as Bruce Wayne. But there is never a moment in the Dark Knight trilogy when I find him legitimately frightening. His actions and skills are intimidating, but Keaton's is the only Batman who's very presence I find chilling. Al ot of that has to do with Keaton, his eyes and his performance, but a lot of it is also the suit.

The yellow oval, to me, says a lot about Batman as a symbol. You see it even when he's nothing but a shadow, and when you wake up in jail or in the hospital, you remember the Bat. It's also a little bit like he's daring you. I just love the yellow oval, and we've gone too long without it.

Well, the thing with the yellow is that it's suppossed to be a subconcious target for crooks to aim at, with that being the most heavily armoured bit of the suit. I suppose the simple black logo could perform the same function, but the rest of the suit would have to be a pretty light shade of grey for it to really work.

Or you know... how about all the suit being armored? That's smarter.

Of course it's smarter. But he needs to be able to move, which is why he'd rely on light armor and only uses thicker armor to protect the most important parts of his body, like his chest and stomach area. Dude still mostly behaves like a Ninja. You can't have speed and mobility if you're being armored from head to toe.

That's why I think the look of Juan Elias Batman is although more military-stilized, more aproppiate. Covers the most importante areas, but gives some free movility with the durable clothing. I assume high impact smart kevlar?
