I don't think Iron Man is going to be in their movie as a member.

I think they are doing it to draw more interest to the the title and characters by having Iron Man in there because they are doing a movie for Guardians now. So they are trying to drum up interest whenever and where ever they can.

I wonder if they'll have a scientist check over the script like a lot of cool science fiction movies do like Contact or Star Trek?

Probably not as I would say this is more fun science fiction than science fiction

Yeah, GOTG is definitely space opera, not nuts-n-bolts hard sf.

is anything to go by then I am okay with the designs as long as they keep Star-Lord's headgear intact, make Gomora sleveless, and get rid of the damn gun and give her a sword, and make Groot look like Groot. Rocky and Drax are the only ones who looks perfectly fine to me.

But it *could* have ramifications for the movie look, too. He says in the article that both the comic-book artists/writers *and* the movie designers are "tossing around ideas" and hope that there'll be at least some similarities/continuity between the media.

I think the current look for the comic-book GOTG is very bleh; hope they return to the original look.

I guess they'll start filming around June next year, so it'll be a while before we get any solid news. Cap:TWS is the next one on their bill (Thor:TDW has just a few weeks of shooting left), so they'll get that rolling first.

Gunn doesn't have any other projects lined up (other than being one of the directors on Movie 43, but that's out in January), but I don't think they're in full on pre-production mode yet.

If that is true, casting announcements are just about to happen. I suspect December or early January is most likely for the first major announcements.
