I love the "flight pose" they gave Superman. Don't get me wrong, I loved CR's Supes but the whole arm thing kinda threw me off.

I saw the bootlegged teaser and was so so about it, but after seeing it in HD my god I love it!
It does exactly what a teaser should, leave you wanting more!
Cant wait to see the theatrical trailer in December (hopefully).

I just hope they don't hold back on showing us some action in that trailer. In fact, I think they should go with the The Phantom Menace model: first trailer has all the action and the second trailer explains some of the story.

This MOS Teaser Trailer is the greatest Teaser Trailer in Hollywood history. What a breath of fresh air this is. So raw and real. And I like the Costner version just as much as the Crowe version. Costner version has a bit more emotion to it actually. Crowe's version is a slicker voice. Both have their great points. Either way, best Teaser Trailer I've ever seen, by a mile.

In terms of cinematography, I think MOS might challenge Wally's work in the Batman films.

I think this and Ang Lee's Hulk are my favourite teasers ever.

Its early, but so far I get the impression MOS is very 'down-to-earth' and raw, almost like a documentary. The Dark Knight franchise felt very artificial and staged, and the characters were cold and were 'vehicles' rather than real people. I think MOS is going to change the way superhero films are made.

That was a superb teaser and it contained no footage from the film.

Does the style of this remind anybody of the original teaser for Batman Begins which has Bruce narrating? It sets up the tone and the motivation of the film. 'I traveled the world, looked in all the shadows... There was something out there.. something in the dark... Me.'

This sets up the symbolism of Superman in the same way. Beautiful, thoughtful.

I was hoping to hear a more noble/heavenly voice for Jor-El, but it still sounds wise and I think I'll end up really liking it when we have the full film and more context. Plus, c'mon, Marlon Brando's voice is not something to try to imitate for an actor.

Cavill's eyes/face/demeanor are just a work of art. He's the perfect embodiment of Superman, as far as I'm concerned. He seems so sympathetic and lonely and caring, but also tough and full of deep conflict and thought. Perfect.

My only other nitpick is that the cloudy effects around Superman as he's breaking the sound barrier look kind of rough, so I wish they would have saved that bit until it was ready for the final film. The rest of the flying, and the clouds, and the SOUND of him flying, was gorgeous. You really feel the gravity of this being a human being (well, you know what I mean) who is pushing up through the sky. <3

Yeah, it already looks better than what's come before.

It's gonna look good and very "real" as opposed to what you would expect from previous Snyder films.

Given how realistic the scenes of Cavill look in the Teaser, imagine how intimidating Zod will look and the fight scenes between Zod and Superman. See, I think when a film is too 'artificial' (The Avengers for example) it makes the villain feel kind of tame, whereas if the film is made in a raw fashion it makes the villain much more alarming for the audience. The audience will start thinking of what it would be like if Zod really was destroying the city. The raw style of the film will help that feeling.

I agree. Even though the concept of Iron Man is more realistic than superman IMO. since their style of movies are so "campy" I never get that feeling you're talking about. At least not from their movies. I do enjoy them a lot though.

Yep I know what you mean. I can't imagine Marvel making a film like The Dark Knight.
