consider superman is a failed franchise and how important it is to relaunch himself, i think this teaser trailer is an epic failure.

it totally doesn't have the modern, fresh and more relatable feel as what they intended to have. it looks exactly like donner's, where clark travel to the north to find himself. worse still, the tone is so depressing (worse than SR the whole movie) and the longwinded lecture by a father is so annoyingg (which the youngters hate the most)

superman marketing sucks still!

i still remember how exciting and awesome the spiderman teaser trailer is. a roberry happened. they chased by the police... then we saw them together with the car caught in a gaint spider web!!! so freaking cool!!!

can they please instill some coolness in superman!!!

btw, the comment is solely on the teaser itself.

Um, I wasn't even being harsh. Don't take it so personally. It just doesn't fit with the dialogue.

I still think people were expecting too much out of a TEASER trailer. This was basically to announce the film. I'm sure over the following months the marketing will get better....if not, then WB has basically doomed Superman by showing that they don't really care

I saw the comic-con footage...That looked amazing. Expect a more visual trailer around Christmas. This is just to get the word out to the general public that a Man of Steel / Superman movie is coming out again. And these executives are making sure to note that they have the right people on it this time ha (ex: Snyder & Nolan)

I'm more than happy with what we got. Really sets the scene for me and teases, while not being so front loaded at this point in time.

Sorry folks, Nolan doesn't have the sole legal rights to making a good looking, thought provoking (but action packed) dramatic movie about superheroes. So, it's okay if Snyder makes one in Man of Steel too.

Just watched the teasers.

You definitely got the sense that this was going to be a different Superman film. The Nolan influence is apparent.

As for the teaser itself, I felt it was OK. It served it's purpose which was to tease, but the teaser was not anything that made me feel excited to see the film (nor do I think it will excite casuals) . There have been better Superman teasers than the MOS one.

This is one of the best TEASER trailers I have ever seen! By the way, The music was made by Howard Shore,"The Bridge of Khazad Dum" is from the "The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of The Ring"

I feel the teaser did it's job, and then I broke down and watched the CC footage...

Wow! I can't wait to see the leaked footage in HD, MOS in 2013 looks very promising!

Loved the teaser. The cinematography is beautiful and the tone is different from anything I've seen from Superman before. I'm really looking forward to this.

As for the lack of action and "money shots", its better to wait until the special effects are in a more completed state. I'm sure WB doesn't want another Green Lantern on their hands.

I'm not sure what some posters are talking about, I got more of a Tree
Of Life feel out of the teaser then a Nolan vibe.

I guess that's just me.

Just got to see the teaser as they didn't show it during the IMAX screenings.

I really loved Jor-El's quote and the footage. To me it definitely set itself apart from what came before it while still reassuring audiences this is still very much Superman.

No, lots of people have said the same thing. It doesn't look like Nolan at all from a cinematographic standpoint.
