would you like a pair of pink panties with your tissue box? Seriously it was sad but not crying sad. Anyone getting that emotional over a batman movie is about a step away form a buffalo bill moment of nut tucking and wearing peoples dead skin

There were some really emotional moments in the all three movies, but TDKR tops all three.

If you're only in this thread to call people out then it's better to not post at all.

Bruce/Alfred in Begins. Why do we fall?
The end of TDK, when the music hits and Gordon says the words "Cuz he can take it....cuz he's not a hero" those are the words that always hit me. Alfred and Bruce saying goodbye in TDKR. The very end of TDKR. Specifics? When the music from the end of TDK comes in again RIGHT when Robin jumps through the waterfall, and the bats circle him and surround him, while Alfred sees Bruce happy in the cafe. The music + the scenes of the cafe reveal + Robin just made me lose it. It was such a weird reaction for me. I wasnt surprised that i got emotional from the "Bruce is alive" reveal but for someone who never liked the young/red suit/corny sidekick that was Robin...he is still a huge part of my childhood. And i always liked "Dick Grayson and the other origins of each Robin". So when he's in that cave standing up, letting the bats surround him like it did with Bruce in Begins..i LOST it. Call me a manchild! I dont care. I've loved Batman since i was 3 years old. Quote:
And if you just truly didnt get moved by it, then why bother leaving a comment, people feel different connections to things. |

The poll referenced the Trilogy, not just TDKR.
I said the "I wanted something more for you.. than that" speech from Alfred reminded me, or was similar in depth to the "haven't given up on me" exchange in Begins. I jump back and forth a lot, next time I'll be a little more clear. |

Teared up a tad when he climbed out of the pit, an epic moment in the film IMO.

That logic fails. This isn't Batman and Robin. Nolan's bat films are supposed to have a huge emotional impact on the audience. Clearly you didn't get that point.

Oh and how can i forget my favourite scene in the movie. When Bruce climbs out of the pit. The "without the rope. then fear will come find you again" line and Bruces expression + THE MUSIC of course. And then the escape just gives me goosebumps. Wouldnt say i cried, but that made my eyes water a bit.

Would most people agree TDKR had more emotional impact than Begins or TDK. I can think of several moments in TDKR that really had weight to them. As much as I liked Begins and TDK I can think of a many moments that impacted like the ones in TDKR did in the same way, not from a sad sort of way.
Maybe it was just the fact its the final chapter and things are coming to an end and characters are showing their hand more at the end. |

I'll admit I teared up in a few of Alfred's scenes but man some of the instances some of you here have mentioned are just head scratchers.

No tears, but my jaw absolutely dropped when I thought they killed bw/bats off at the end.

true true, but its still more of a 'tearful' possibility than bane protecting talia in a flashback....but that's just what i think.

The entire last 10 minutes or so from when Talia dies. It's weird how the worst scene in the movie was followed by 10 minutes of sheer awesome.

I didn't cry but I did tick the two options that made me almost.
Batman revealing who he was. Mainly just because I wasn't expecting him to reveal who he was in such a way. I was more surprised then just "that was such a great moment". The whole ending montage with the music. Stunning.

I like how they're saying that just because it's a BATMAN film, we're not allowed to be emotional. Give me a break. This is the build up of a whole trilogy and the end to something that means a lot to all of us. We're allowed to cry if we damn well want to.
The Pit climb scene makes me want to cry tears of joy everytime. I just get massive chills and feel like chanting along with the prisoners. When he makes the jump I just want to cheer my heart out. |

No, just teary eyed a few times, basically in Alfred's two big moments. When Bruce asks how Alfred thinks they're going to part, with a handshake in a mocking tone, when Alfred responds...oh man, I was close.
In the first fight between Bane and Batman, I didn't get emotional, just shocked and I HATED Bane for what he was doing. Bruce's last words to Gordon gave me a small lump in my throat. Bruce climbing the pit was just a hell yeah moment for me.....when the bats come flying out, I felt like jumping out of my seat and fisting the air. ![]() But no outright bawling, it's funny because I know he was banned, but I agreed with what the guy said about The Green Mile and Gladiator making him cry. These films lingered in their emotional scenes, prolonging the punishment so to speak. If I had one complaint about TDKR, is that it didn't do this.
