That is some truly amazing footage. I just wish the guy could have kept the camera in focus the whole time! Still, loved what I saw. It probably would have been better if WB had released this as the teaser, but no big deal. Can't wait until we get a full trailer.

anyone else loving that even the action scenes are more grounded and realistic i am glad they aren't cgi heavy or slow motion'd up

because i think that would be tonally jarring

especially love the bank vault scene where supes get's thrown very realistic looking

You know. The All Star Superman line from Jor El got me thinking. What if Zod and Faora are similar to Bar El and Lilo? That would be an interesting take on the character.

I don't see how it can be that way personally.

Because AFTER all the stuff that happens in the movie, especially as we can see from the footage that there is action in Metropolis, I don't see how Clark could be riding around Metropolis without glasses without someone saying 'OMG, it's Superman!'

It only makes sense for him to be only just putting on the disguise as he goes up to the newsroom BEFORE anyone has seen Superman yet.

I'm wondering, on that scene where Superman is trying to reach out but can't, by what was reported at first to be burnt skulls: I wonder if that's the Phantom Zone.

hmm......I've been wondering about that too. I was thinking it was maybe a dream sequence or something.

oh, and I think the FOS will respond to Superman's own "biomatrix signature" or whatever. I highly doubt there will be a key. unless Clark's pendant and/or ring somehow factors into it.

if Clark makes it a point not to stand out nobody would notice him. He puts on the glasses and Superman disappears!

That shot of him hitting the bank vault is pretty well done for early CGI from what I can tell.

Damn I can't even imagine the response the crowd would give if that was before TDKR. Don't care anymore I guess but I bet people would of been amazed.

This would've taken the spotlight out of TDKR completely. And we haven't even seen the big action scenes.....

Seems like a pretty stupidly huge risk when you're planning on using glasses as a disguise anyway...

I mean, why wait. Why not put the glasses on before you leave the house? Why cycle through Metropolis, where you were fighting bad guys and the army not so long ago and probably had you're face splashed all over the news, with absolutely nothing disguising your face?

It seems a little less illogical if it's before Superman has made his debut.

Now THAT is much more like it.

The teaser trailer that came with The Dark Knight Rises was more a trailer of mystery for me.. in some aspects it was something a little like Batman Begins first teaser from what I can recall of it, however even it had some proper shots of Batman & some action. They should have made it 15 seconds longer & shown a few more action'y shots.

By the way, my favourite shot of the entier comic con footage was Clark emerging from the through the flames.

I wish the new bootleg of the comic con footage wasn't blurry on that one shot. I like the one of him walking into the fortress as the door opens.

How beautiful is that shot we see Superman for the first time as he walks out of the Fortress of Solitude?!!? Amazing!!!

BTW, from what I could make out, Clark's ship looks huge in the barn scene.

Is that what was floating when it got blurry? Right after Costner finished talking? The crowd said "woa" in reaction. I couldn't make out what it was.

If you flip this picture around this is what it reminded me of as he walked through the fortress of solitude doors.

Saw the new leaked SDCC footage. Good stuff. They are clearly amping up the action for this one, as expected. I'm not sure if that will help the film's box office e or not, as everything will come down to the story. I still hate the suit and when he was walking in handcuff it looked very shiny. I don't know if this was due to the lighting from the screening or in the film, but it had an apparent gloss to it.
