Not gonna happen. Just give him a few more pages and he'll start right up again asking the same questions only to be answered...only to go on to ask it again.

Very annoying indeed.

So...maybe stupid question, but I still don't quite understand why Mama al Ghul and Talia were attacked in the prison in the first place and required rescuing by Bane? It looked like the people who did it AND rescued Bane later were dressed the same.

I just wanna know what happened to Bruce's leg brace when he went to prison. Apparently he was stripped of his suits and gadgets, and not only does he have a broken back, but before, he could barely walk without the brace, yet, he's in tiptop shape all around.

Maybe the back rope and punch method healed the leg too?

one thing i saw mentioned by another fan that i didn't really notice is the lack of repeated dialogue like in BB and TDK. there's only one line like that i can remember, shared between bane and batman.

"THEN you have my permission to die."

any other lines repeated exactly for ironic/dramatic effect that i'm not recalling?
if not, do you think it was done intentionally (only this one line was repeated with that same ironic effect) in order to make it more dramatic?

i don't think he needs the brace to walk. he is a ninja, but he is also essentially a monk. (remember the anime shorts released ahead of TDK showing some training after LoS) he feels no pain because pain is sort of like instinctive fear - it's telling you something is wrong and it's time to worry. batman can overcome that, which is why even after a doctor tells him he has no cartiledge in his knee, we see him promptly stand up and repel several stories out of a window. the pain is ignored.

i think the brace early in the movie is almost a signal of bruce's weakness setting in (even though he might not realize it yet). he needs the brace in his mind if he wants to defeat bane. in the cave bruce overcomes a new type of fear and realizes that he needs nothing to defeat bane but the motivation of the fear of death.

two cents from me, what they worth to ya'll?

also this makes sense seeing as when bruce loses batman he internalizes all the pain and suffering he once put into the symbol. rather than ignoring the pain in the beginning of TDKR we see a bruce wayne who languishes in it, possibly because he has a death wish? possibly because he feels responsible for what he's put gotham through? possibly because of rachel's death? probably because of all of these things, IMO

Fair enough. I only remember it being mentioned that the doctor forgot to lock their cell one day.

Lack of cartilage will still make it painful or impossible to walk (movie magic or doctor humor ), but if you have a gimp leg and there's nothing extremely wrong with it (namely bone structure or nerves), it often just takes lots of physical therapy to build up the muscles supporting it.

A friend of mine in college had a gimp knee (couldn't go up stairs, walked very slowly) and it was kind of a catch-22 because in order to her to recover, she had to exercise the muscles supporting her knee. Which requires bending it, which she could barely do at the time. She's fine now though.

After seeing the film 3 times, I think it's clear that rape was about to occur in that scene.

I think what is slightly dissapointing to me is while the trilogy is great as a whole, the final film still suffers from that 3rd film jinx. I was hoping it would be on par with the other 2 and I just don't think it is.

Why are you wasting your time telling someone not to have their opinion? They've done nothing BUT discuss the issues with the film. Its hardly just whining. And even if it is, so what. Maybe the film disappointed them. Your head hurts because you can't handle a negative opinion? Please.

Personally, I think it left me with a lot of questions the first time and answered most of them the second and third times. It's becoming my favorite of the trilogy because it's much deeper. I think Ledger stole TDK because he was simply amazing in it but the theme of TDKR is just phenomenal.

I've learned to ignore these stupid remarks from people who can't agree with you. It's funny because they missed my posts in which I say the movie is good, a 7 or 8 out 10 and that this is the best superhero trilogy of all time but there a lot of things that bug me a lot in this 3rd movie that didn't bug me in the other two.

But thanks for answering him for me.

Maybe Bane's men came across it and just left it on him. They removed his weapons and other gear but they seem to have left his clothes alone.

I'm confused as to why they attacked Talia when she was climbing out of the pit. I thought Bane convinced the other prisoners that she was their redemption.

That could be why they didn't want her to leave.

Long time poster here, but I have to say, I loved this entry, and it's all about your personal taste in films. For me, since I'm an emotional person and a BIG Bruce Wayne fan, it was awesome. If you choose to analyze it more, pick apart the story and execution of scenes, you'll have issues, but it shouldn't ruin your enjoyment of the film.

In the end, to each their own, but in my opinion, this is the best trilogy ever done, including LOTR....
