Wow, The Kristen Stewart/ Rob what's his name thread is thriving...and this isn't?

Goes to show why bafoons like The Kardashians have such blooming careers for achieving absolutely nothing.

Bale is awesome. That he went to visit all the Aurora victims was really classy, and that he requested the news media NOT be informed he was coming was even classier. This wasn't a publicity stunt, but a gesture of kindness and compassion.

I like how Bale doesn't seem to be an attention-starved celebrity. Plus he is a fantastic actor to boot. Seems like a great guy.

Yeah, it's great that his co-stars and everyone else who's worked with him has said good things about him, especially with TDKR. And after The Fighter I'm sure the stigma of him being a hot-head will wear off.

He seems like the opposite of a man with an ego-problem.

He should totally be in the next Muppets movie.

I've been a fan of his all the way back to Empire of the Sun, which came out when I was in 8th grade. I even saw Newsies in the movie theater twice (my friends and I were the only people there both times).

The visit to Aurora last week just made me a bigger fan. That was amazing.

Yeah I just find it insane on how he makes the way he looks so different in films.

I mean The Machinist only came out like a year prior to Batman Begins.

The Machinist (2004)

Batman Begins(2005)

Now i know there was probably a bit of time between shooting but that is a major difference.

^Not to mention, why Nolan had to fight with the studio to convince them to cast Bale. If i saw Bale show up at an audition looking like that for Bruce Wayne, i wouldn't cast him either! Glad he got the part though.

A fan of his since American Psycho, I just love how he embodied Patrick Bateman. Not only that but he was crazy good in The Machinist, and it helped that he got casted in a Batman movie.

I honestly think that Christian's first Academy Award nomination should have been for American Psycho. One of his best performances to date in my book. And yeah, he's one of my favorite actors for sure. His talent says it all.

I love the story that Nolan tells about Bale prior to filming Begins: After he wrapped The Machinist, Nolan told him to gain as much weight as possible for Batman. He didn't actually want him to, assuming Bale would put on some weight, and then they'd bulk him up some more. Apparently Bale showed up and had put on TOO much weight. That's when Nolan realized that Bale's the only guy in Hollywood that would do what you tell him.
