All that I ask for is that the trailer doesn't use any punk/heavy metal/guitar band music...(ala the first Avengers Theatrical Trailer). I'd prefer for them to use something like what Snyder had used for the Comic Con trailer.

Me too! The Comic Con trailer music was epic! I hope they use a similar track for the official trailer or something from Brand X Music or Two Steps From Hell, I totally dig this kind of music! |

I personally prefer operatic music in trailers rather than rock music.

It's not like Snyder goes for your average screamo rock song, they are usually relevant to the themes of the film and quite distinctive in terms of sound.
The Watchmen trailers were highly praised, and in some ways they overshadowed the actual film. Which makes sense considering his origins as a music video director.

I still don't want a rock song at all, tbh I hate when they use songs in trailers I'd always rather have score. Superman and Rock doesn't go for me, and looking at the Con trailer and Teaser I'd say it wouldn't work.

I think a rock song can fit with Superman but not for a trailer, I for example enjoy these songs based on Superman but using them in a trailer would be too cheesy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YM305SunRrg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRz4FY0ZcwI By the way, I love your avatar! I'm a big fan of Jennifer Lawrence!

I cant see why something like 30 seconds to Mars cant fit in a Superman-trailer.
It probably wouldnt fit with the approach they're taking with MOS, but who knows. I wouldnt rule it out in future trailers and tv-spots, because of the action and the Junkie-XL dude. As long as it wouldnt be in an attempt to make Superman cooler. The movie will do that on its own.

Just saw the trailer for Oblivion, it was decent, not huge competition for the attention.

Nolan's trailers always seem to cause some disappointment, Snyder's trailers have always been highly praised.
If we got an MOS trailer on par with the initial Watchmen trailer that will overshadow any trailer released for BB, TDK or TDKR.

The teaser received a lot of complaints. I thought it was fine but it was considered a disappointment at the time.
The first TDK trailer was very good. Mostly due to being the first proper glimpse of Heath Ledger's amazing performance. But the first Watchmen trailer was better than both.

agreed. no way you can go from the tone of the comic con and teaser with the epic music to some non-epic musical score.

there is no reason to believe they would go from the music of the comic con and teaser to some rock/punk thing. it would be completely out of tone

It's not fair to dismiss Snyder's previous musical choices as being simple rock/punk. They were carefully picked songs that fit the themes of the film.
A Superman trailer that does the same would make more of an impression than an operatic score, which everyone is expecting.
