Any thoughts on what was burning through the sky at 1:58, above whoever was casting the fishing net?

Amazing trailer! Love what I'm seeing. Only criticism would be that it does seem a bit too dark and colourless in terms of the films palette.

After watching a number of times, I have to say that I think it still lacks that wow scene but that it looks like a good film for sure.

Beautiful trailer.
I love the grounded reality. I realize that this was Godfathered by Nolan and that's his thing...but...it really helps with Superman. Even more so than with Batman. It's such a fantasy-based leap, that grounding it in our world - the camera angles, the lighting, etc...really works. I think my favorite parts are the leap into the air in the arctic. The little trembles...wow. And the second, when Supes is looking at Lois in the dessert and the camera is placed on their hands. The style of the suit and the lighting gives it a great alien-future look. |

Disagree. I think the colors look very rich and hyper-real in certain scenes, which fits with Snyder's aesthetic.

Whatever happened to him?
Anyway, based on only four viewings so far, I freaking loved it. Still waiting for good shots of Zod in armor and Clark in traditional Clark gear, but I'm kind of glad they didn't give away too much here. I already want this to be a longass movie just so it can properly address all the awesome things we've already seen.

Yup. Another great one. There's power, but then a lot of gentle moments too. And by the way: When did this site start using those stupid green word link- thing? God I hate those. I can baring hover my mouse around the screen without 2-4 little windows popping up. |

I'll get used to it, but I was expecting something a little bit more brighter and richer.

If Snyder can tell the story within two hours without rushing it (I think he can pull that off), he should do that. But if it's going to be longer, as in ASM or BB length, it needs to earn it. |

You most likely have some form of spyware. This happened to me a few years ago, it's not a feature of the site.

The scene with young Clark locking himself in that room I am guessing its when his super hearing kicks in and he cant control it.

Also, making big talk that "no one wants to admit it" when its only your opinion is pretty childish and looking for trouble, so of course you expected retorts. I didn't say one word about Nolan in the first place also, so nice job making a jab at nothing in particular. If you feel it's pretentious, fine. But when you say that the pretentiousness of Nolan's films don't bother you, or that MOS could be good regardless, what exactly, then, is so pretentious if the movie works for you? If a movie is pretentious, and showcases that sense of greater meaning or importance that it doesn't have, than why would you be able to enjoy it? That would not be a good film, just one pretending to be. From that comment, I got the sense that you don't really understand that word and were thinking more along the lines of pretentious = dark/overly serious.

My impression, from the trailer alone, is that the film will start with these dark colors. But as soon as Clark realizes and accepts his destiny and dons the Superman costume, the world (and the movie) will progressively become brighter and more colorful.

I'd actually prefer them to save as much wow as possible for the movie instead of putting it in the trailer.

There is nothing to debate. I don't give a **** what you think of me. If you think that I don't understand English, great that's your opinion.
Go away, ***** to somebody else because I don't want to talk to you. And why would you want to debate someone you think doesn't understand words?
