-Anne Hathaway's acting
-Marion Cotillard's acting
-Christian Bale's Batman voice (yet again)
-Christian Bale's sad face when Alfred is giving his long speech
-Christian Bale's acting in general
-A lot of the lines of dialogue by the supporting cast
-"What's your middle name?" "Robin" *smirks to audience*
-The acting by the FBI guy in the plane deserves special mention
-When the guy in the prison fixes Bruce's back
-The horrible monologues

I could go on.. The whole movie was a unintentionally funny moment.

You're trying way too hard to bash this movie.

Looking at the difference in the trajectory of banes two punches.
Now why would the second punch be thrown higher than the last? No other reason other than it was either intended to hit batman on the top of the head or the choreography of this series is a little on the methodical side. Most of the bane fights prove to be this revealing sadly.

or many it was all planned to make batman think he had the upper hand...

I see this alot with nolan's batfilms. Fans need to extrapolate what really is just a lack of clarity in decisive directing. Same goes for Bruce vs League of Shadows. What could be a very well made point on a directorial level is just subtle enough to have people extrapolate where they well.

-When Ra's talks of ninja's ability to be invisible and then 2 show up from off camera...That point could have been a marvel.
-When we learn that bruce could hold his own in a truly hellish prison and that he has some training, that point could have been a revelation, instead it's a drunken brawl in a typical south east asian prison with a supposedly angry also somewhat man coming out on top.
-When Bruce demonstrates his skills against Ra's for the first time, this comes at the top of a mountain climb....and we're to extrapolate that bruce has tons of of skills but they just don't measure up? Um maybe you could stage this sequence better to the point actually arrives with clarity.
-and so many more.

I just wish points were made with more clarity and impact in these movies so that everyone could enjoy the ride.

That second fight with Bane needed a singular clarity. And not some convenient turn that then gave Batman a MUCH needed advantage.

Gordon's "Get ready!" is really the only unintentionally funny moment for me. The delivery just seems so odd.

Lol, someone needs to make montage of all of Gordon's yelling moments in TDK and TDKR.

Okay, I'll bite.

What was bad about Hathaway's acting?
What was bad about Cotillard's acting - other than her final scene.
What was bad about Christian Bale's sad face when Alfred is giving his speech?
What was bad about Christian Bale's acting in general?

I didn't say it was bad. I said it was unintentionally funny. Hence the thread title: Unintentionally Funny Moments in The Dark Knight Rises..

Ever watch The Room? I consider that acting genius.

I can't tell you, it's up to each person to judge for themselves. I just found their acting funny in those scenes that were supposed to be dramatic. Or were very corny, typical of a big budget hollywood film. Or overpaid actors phoning it in.

Are you going to argue about Christian Bale's Batman voice?

No, the Bat-voice will always and forever be silly.

But everything else about Bale's performance (with the exception of maybe the always open mouth) was brilliant. Same with every single frame Hathaway is in. Same with Cotillard, except the death scene.

If your only argument is "well, it's just how I felt about it, man", then I'm sorry but I just can't respect your opinion.

No, I just happen to have a minority opinion in some areas, and some people mistake this for trolling. It's a discussion board, hence discussion. I don't even know why I have to explain this. I'm sick of people like you going around accusing anyone who you don't agree with as being a troll (or whatever). How ****ing ironic, is that you're the one resorting to personal attacks, yet you're accusing me of trolling. I've had enough of the likes of you.

Minority opinion? You're listing the acting of one of the greatest actors of this generation and an actress who recently won an Oscar.

Is that a fact, is it?

So an actor who wins an oscar is beyond criticism? Halle Berry won an oscar but was also in Catwoman. Do you consider Catwoman an oscar-worthy performance?

That's a pretty good rebuttal to be honest.
I mean there is a reason these films don't get acting recognition during the oscar season, not exactly morgan freeman's most challenging supporting role work.

Heath I suppose was the only one but there were also certain circumstances involved there.

I do not attack The Joker, The Guard or really any of this movie's many, many critics. But you keep making single sentence posts that say "Nolan makes boring movies." or "Nobody understands them because they are long and boring" (yes I am paraphrasing) and then come in here and list every single performance in the film as LOL-inducing.

As The Joker, no fan of TDKR if you look around, said, you are trying too hard to hate this movie. If you want a real discussion, start one. There are plenty on the board.

I agree that was a great rebuttal.

Though I really do think Bale and Hathaway gave a lot more to their work here than Berry has done in...well any mainstream film she's appeared in over the last 10 years.

Though I will disagree to a point, Marvin. I think Caine did great work in TDKR and Bale did very good, though not Oscar caliber, work. I also really thought Oldman and Eckhart were outstanding in the second film, it is just regular suns cannot compare to the power of the supernova that was Ledger in that film.
