Tired. It was like 3 AM when my first viewing ended.

Past that, underwhelmed, frustrated, and a little disappointed. I enjoyed the movie, but mostly for its basics. There's almost nothing in the film, barring maybe the actual fight between Batman and Bane, where a similar idea hadn't been done better elsewhere, or which shouldn't have been better handled. I just didn't feel that most of the good ideas in the film came close to reaching their full potential.

I was very amused and started annoying my wife by trying to talk to her in Bane's voice when I came home.

I was exhausted because I was so invested and happy while watching all of it. I couldn't even think properly for around 30 minutes after it, but then it kind of hit me that this is it, its really over now but it was the most fantastic ride while it lasted. I love all of this series.

I was slightly disapointed/ underwhelmed after my first viewing but still liked it. Honestly, I really couldn't get into the movie because the shooting in Colorado was still on my mind. My second viewing I enjoyed the movie alot more but the nitpicks I had still bugged me. Overall I gave the movie an 8/10.

Yeah, I'll admit, the shootings were on my mind a bit as well but I was able to focus on the movie.

There happened to be an eerie moment in the film where I know someone in the audience had to jump. Someone was just returning from the restroom during the scene where Gordon was on the ice (when the henchman quickly shoots his gun into the air out of nowhere) Just as this guy comes back that scene happened and was a bit eerie. Not to mention I had just looked at the guy returning since I was close to the side and my angle on him had him directly over the henchman on screen.

I'm with you on that one. Batman is my favorite character and I've been a fan of Nolans since Memento. It kind of reminded me of when TAS went off the air. I'm not sure who will get the next crack at the Bat but Nolan's movies will be hard to follow up.

I'm also left wondering about just how much of a wrench HL's death threw into Nolan's and the WB's plans. We'll never know I guess and I think Nolan has to much class to talk about it.

I just came back from my first opportunity to see it.

I am happy to say that I really enjoyed it, and much more than I expected. It was a great story, perfectly concluding Bruce and Alfred's own journies, while giving strong arcs to newcomers Blake and Kyle.

Bane was a very convincing villain, and it is particularly commendable that he felt just as threatening as The Joker while very different. I was less convinced by the "twist" that saw Talia effectively occupying the status and even the backstory that we had been lead to attach to him; partly because it was foreshadowed so heavily, and partly because I think it slightly weakened Bane's character without really making Talia that much more interesting.

The plot weaved "Knightfall" and "No Man's Land" together quite neatly, and I really love the ending (though can you really have Robin without Batman?). I don't think they really "nailed" Catwoman, and she was a disappointment to me, but almost everything else was a pleasant surprise.

I saw it during the midnight premiere, having hyped it up for the entire week, to the point where I used my best bale-batman impression for the entire day leading up to the showing. In my experience, any movie while viewed under these circumstances (surrounded by die-hard fans, and being extremely excited yourself) will seem like the best movie ever at the time (and I felt that way about Star Wars III, Spider-man 3, and Indy IV, all of which I saw this way, and all of which I later decided were absolute garbage) And it did. I never liked it better than TDK, but I came out of the theater wondering whether it was better than the Avengers.

Unfortunately, almost immediately after I came out of the theater, I was bombarded by the news from Colorado. That's all I could think about until the 2nd time I saw the movie, about a week later. It was during this viewing that I started seeing a few of the plot holes and character inconsistencies, but I still thought that it was overall a good addition to the trilogy...

Until I saw it a third time a few days ago. I think it works better if you try not to think too hard about it. By that point I might have been looking for holes to poke anyway.

So in short, initial reaction: HOLY F#%$ING S%*&, THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVAH!!! Subsequent viewings... Not so much, but still okay.

After my first viewing, I felt had to see it again. I get a better feel and overall judgement on a film after I've seen it a second time.

At the midnight showing I was excited because it was my first midnight thing to do.

A bit annoyed at certain retards in the audience giggling hysterically at things not meant to elicit a reaction.

And after just a bit saddened realizing that this is the last Batman until WB reboots its.

Disappointed, as I realized it's a weak link in the director's overall filmography and the worst in the series. Disappointed in its execution and in the ending. Disappointed that some of the skepticism and keeping my own expectations in check over the course of production was in fact warranted. People were clapping at the midnight showing as I finished rolling my eyes at most of the ending bits.

I gave it a 7, which I also gave to The Hunger Games this year (which I also liked). There is quite a bit of good in the film (all movies start with a 5 on my scale and then either go up with the good or lower if the bad outweighs it). But you expect more from Chris Nolan. At least I do.

Very mixed feelings on this movie. The first time I watched it.. I couldn't really draw a conclusion, I thought I enjoyed it, but after getting in the car I was like.. WTF did I just watch? So I had to see it again... it wasn't due to being "excited" to see it again, but to get another perspective, this time in IMAX. I still had the same issues, but overall I thought it was great ending to the trilogy. Although it's definitely the weakest of the three films, and my least favorite Nolan film.

A 7 out of 10.

Pretty much the same for me, but I give it a 7.5/10.

Exactly the same for me.

I seriously loved it the first time. I walked out of the cinema thinking it was the absolute greatest film i'd ever seen. At points, I was actually crying JUST because it was awesome, and I was in awe of it. I definitely think it is the most superhero-ey of all the trilogy, which is perhaps why I loved it so much

But yeah, on my second viewing I wasn't AS excited.

Firstly because of this forum, and people's complaints. I don't agree with a lot of them, but it did effect my enjoyment, especially of the ending.

Secondly, because I saw it with a couple of friends the second time, and they kept laughing at things that weren't funny. I mean seriously, one of my friends looked at me and was laughing when Bruce rises from the pit... I just tried to smile back at her, but she'd just basically ruined the atmosphere of my favourite moment by basically saying 'that is so cheesy!'

I haven't seen it again since, I wanted to give my brain some time to calm down, but I think i'm gonna go and see it again tomorrow, to get a clearer understanding of how much I love it.

I think it was an excellent movie overall, but I don't like the way some things were handled. The Harvey Dent situation specifically.

Were the people of Gotham just supposed to believe what came out of Bane's mouth when he read Gordon's letter? I think there would've been much doubt since for so long Harvey was seen as such a great person, even before his scarring. And Bane was a terrorist who wanted to destroy Gotham.

I would've liked to see the people' reaction to this news. I don't remember if anyone actually reacted aside from Blake when he confronted Gordon about it. This lie was made up so that the people of the city wouldn't tear themselves apart, but when the lie is discovered, we don't get to see how the people feel about it.

Batman Begins and TDK were both handled better imo, but I still enjoyed TDKR VERY MUCH.

The on-screen 'war' was like 10 minutes long.

I like the way they tore down Batman's character in the first half. As soon as he dons his outfit again, he's over-confident. Catwoman says, "these guys aren't your average brawlers'. Batman answers, "Neither am I". After that line, I knew he was going to get his ass kicked but that first fight between Bane and Batman was insane...

Exhilaration.

I was diligent about avoiding spoilers beforehand, and the discipline paid off.
I was emotionally overwhelmed by the story and thrilled by the action.
As powerful an experience as I've ever had at a movie.
