Here is a quote from end of April by the way, probably prior to him reading a script but I suspect the actors have a general idea at that point what the story arcs will be heading towards...

So, Feige being asked specifically if Loki has a big part or a minor part and Feige simply says he has a "part". So I'd say based on that the truth is somewhere in between. And he almost seems to no longer be categorizing Loki as a villain here, which is interesting...

you missed my point lol. It was based on that arc, and we know this movie is going to be cram packed with characters (which I am a bit shocked at)

but since it is based off that, and since there are SO many characters in it, Thor should be a huge part obviously, as it is going to revolve aaround thor. and given the packed ness of this film, my point is, don't expect anyone else to have that big of a part besides malekith, since the movie is going to be so packed

*Edit* I was thinking of this but I think one of the reasons Tom loves playing Loki is that the character as he's evolved from Thor to the Avengers is becoming quite sexy in a bad boy way. You need not look any further than Tumblr to see how much sex appeal Loki has as he starts developing into a full fledged, capable villain. Regardless of celebrity status or geographical residence every man just loves feeling desirable.

I've seen bits and pieces of the JIM stuff and looks like a great comic. Certainly could make an amazing live action film. Kid Loki could give Harry Potter a run for his money.

I think the "demise" of Loki that happens with the Seige issues (mentioned on this page) is entirely possible (in some variation) so something like that could eventually could happen in MCU. (of course will be rewritten some for MCU)

Finished! It was a good article. The author says of the JiM run, "probably the American comic I've enjoyed the most since I first read Sandman."

That's high praise in my book. I'll definitely have to add it to my (unfortunately long) list of things to read.

*points* I spotted in posts that Loki would probably have relationship with himself. It is not surprising. He is self-obsessed, egotistical, vanity. Tom Hiddleston had described him as vain. I mean, could one not blame him?

Just saying, there ought to really be film specific for Loki. He has so much depth in character, in his psychology, too much to be viewed simply. What a complex character. If this makes sense. Tom Hiddleston brings so much justice.

I look forward to how this plays out in Thor 2. If Loki will redeem himself. Like I read in the posts, his relationship with Thor, how can he be forgiven? *the anticipation* The God of Mischief is always an intensity.

You know, I just have this fantasy of Loki shrugging away his shame and taking a more proactive leadership type role as God of the Underworlds, stealing it from his daughter no less and showing her who her daddy is, making her his herald as more or less an antithesis of Thor and Odin. I have a scenario in my head where Hela savagely chides Loki for his weakness but he goes through a complete metamorphosis that scares even her as he accepts what he was destined to become, making him completely self aware and confident in himself. So as far as redemption goes I'd hope it would be short lived.

They've been discussing the idea of Loki going head to head with Malekith over in the Kurze thread, and I've been thinking of some cool stuff that could come out of that:

1) Trickster Sorceror vs. Trickster Sorceror: Malekith is basically coming to Asgard to try and beat the Asgardians at Loki's game. It'd be nice to see Loki having to see if soemone else is an illusion for a change, and my money's on Loki coming out looking smarter if this happens.

2) Motivation: Whether Malekith makes the mistake of killing someone in the family other than Thor and ticking Loki off, his attack on Asgard interferes with Loki's own plans, or if he just annoys the Norse God of Mischief, Loki's actions could be interpreted just about anyway you want to.

3) The Frost Giant Reveal: As far as we know, Loki's actual parentage is still a relatively well kept secret. Imagine Malekith smugly releasing soem kind of Asgardian-specific spell at Loki, laughing in triumph-only to $#!t his pants when Loki comes out smiling with Red eyes and blue skin. Pretty epic in my opinion.

?? Lol not sure where you are getting that from. Malekith isn't being Mischievous. the dark elves and the asgardians have had their fallouts in the past. Malekith is leading an army into asgard, and seems like..point blank, attacking it. He plans to plunge the 9 realms into darkness.

its not trickery, Malekith's motives are completely different from Loki's.

I don't see any of that happening, aside from your 3rd point

All this talk of Loki being revealed as a Frost Giant to all the characters not in the know has me thinking of this rumor over in another thread about someone posting that a friend was an extra filming at Stonehenge where they were filming a naked blue guy. I'm telling you if that is the big reveal of Loki being a Frost Giant prepare for a massive explosion of ovaries simultaneously in the theater you're in. That and I can hear some ardent fangirls yelling "We still love you Loki!" as well.

Me...well I might just collapse in a heap on the gum encrusted floor of my local theater from such fangirl service.

LOL... I'll say again what I said in the other thread. I actually hope that's not the case. 1) I am very very much afraid of the Loki Fangirl Apocalypse and 2) it seems rather undignified (although amusing) for Tom to have to do.

Also, before the internet explodes at this possibility, someone mentioned a character that is blue and emerges from Stonehenge in the comics to fight Thor....

I think there are some solid rumors about Ms Marvel showing up in Avengers 2 (or at least in Carol Danvers form) and Ms. Marvel in the comics was due to the Kree... so it would be appropriate to introduce some Kree in one of these MCU films soon, even if only briefly. Not sure how he'd fit into Thor 2 otherwise though...

I actually give this report more merit with the above in mind, than if it was Loki.

So I guess what I'm saying is dont get your hopes up!
