![]() I'm also ridiculously curious about this TV show. Any thoughts on what it might be? I bet its either Runaways or Heroes for Hire |

So damn relieved and happy about this news!
I was scared he'd bail out. Anyway, can't wait for more news on A2. |

Wonderful news, without Joss Whedon i'm not shure Marvel would wait until Avengers 3 to use Thanos as the villain.

Like I said, I can see them incorporating Thanos in GotG as to not let the ending cameo go to waste, while developing a better story for him in Avengers 3.

aka Jessica Jones could still work, with Luke Cage as a semi-regular character. But Heroes for Hire also sounds like a no-brainer. The title might be an issue (NBC's Heroes) but the concept seems suited to tv.

A thread with good news like this about Joss Whedon cannot be complete without Numfar's dance of joy:

Expected but still excellent news, have loved Joss ever since Firefly/Serenity and he totally delivered with TA. Great news to hear he is helming the sequel.
Curious to know what the TV series he will be developing could be as well? Would love it to be a Punisher series with Tom Jane as The Punisher!

I could totally see Whedon jumping straight into Thanos. Just having him be the most brutal, ruthless bad guy and making everything horrible for the Avengers.

He could leave The Avengers 2 on a bit of a cliffhanger. That would have the potential to be an amazing sequel and have us savoring desperately for The Avengers 3.
Then again that could prove to be detrimental for the solo films so I'm not sure how that could work exactly.

Hopefully he puts a little more Whedony energy into this one than into the first. Not that I didn't like The Avengers, I liked it alot. I just wouldn't mind a bit more depth.

He said a few years back that he really doesn't care for the character, basically due to the fact that all he does is kill people. I really can't see him wanting to center a series on the character.

Yes.
So phase II seems to be: 2013: May 3- Iron Man 2 November 8- Thor: The Dark World 2014: April 4- Captain America: The Winter Soldier August 8- Guardians of The Galaxy Unknown (November?)- Ant-Man 2015: May 1- Avengers 2 Plus tv programming tying into the whole thing. Color me aroused.

What I love most is that the deal also guarantees him as a big part of the collaborative process of putting together Phase 2.
Honestly, he set a really high bar so they need him to have some kind of input on these other properties.

When your film tallies $1.5 billion worldwide, all of the sudden the creative liberties grow enormously. I have complete faith.

We don't know the Ant-Man will be out before The Avengers 2.It could
be the second 2015 film. That depends on Edgar Wright.Don't forget he want to do film with both Henry Pym and Scott Land. It's a safe bet The Avengers 2 Is coming May 2015. Based on exsisting contracts the following should return Chris evans Chris Hemsworth mark Ruffalo Scarlett Johansson Samuel L Jackson Cobie Smolders Unknown Jeremy Renner Big question Mark Robert Downey JR |

So basically he has become what WB wishes Nolan had for them but didn't. Awesome. That should silence those Feige haters.
