I know, I was just agreeing with you. I imagine there was probably an element of that in her creation.

Yea, Marvel probably went with making someone who looks almost identical to Diana but with a complete 180 attitude

Her creator was Jim Starlin, who also created Thanos (a Darkseid derivative of course) and popularized Adam Warlock (sort of a bi-polar existentialist Superman.) He clearly used DC to some degree as the basis of his plots.

Definitely sounds like it, I of course know about Thanos, I know a very little about Gamora, and nothing of Adam Warlock lol, not much of a Marvel fan :P

Back on topic, I think in the past, we've several instances where actors were cast in a role, fans had misgivings, and we went on to praise said performances.

I think the idea that Gemma can't be WW because she looks "Too pale" or "kind of gingery" is pretty stupid.

I'd go with Once Upon a Time's Meghan Ory. At 5'7 , she's not a towering amazon like alot of the other suggestions but she is a good actress who has the right blend of strength, vunerability, kindess, and wisdom imo. She's also one of the few actresses who could carry her own WW film if need be.

I've found Meghan to be a pretty good suggestion for WW. However, I think they're probably going to go with a bigger name for the part.

Also, as one of the guys who suggested Meghan Ory to begin with, I don't think her acting is up to the mark!

She's pretty good from what I've seen from two seasons of once upon a time at least. She's not a thesp but I don't think you really need an Oscar winner for the part.

Or even just use bronzer.

She's perfect for WW imo. Good actress, good height, good frame for it (not too skinny/ can pack on muscle), not too young, not too old.

wait wait wait......ok, just so we dont step on each others toes about this later.

You want Jennifer Lawrence to play Diana, however due to her commitments to Marvel you realize that its a pretty much done deal that she wont get the part, so on a realistic view, Gemma is your choice now??

Just asking cause I dont want to go "YOU JUMPED ON THE BANDWAGON!" type thing lol

Great job on those pics Joe!

And I think we say 'Abo' - 'oot' rather than 'Aba' - 'oot' like our friends south of the border do.

I think that's where the whole 'Aboot' stereotype comes from.

That reminds me, is there any truth to that "afraid of the dark" stereotype or was it completely made up by How I Met Your Mother?

so, just got back from Hansel & Gretel......I have no idea why there's so much hate towards it. I went in without thinking about Gemma as Diana and there were others in the theater who freaking mentioned at some points that she's...

"like a amazon fighter"
"you mean warrior"
"yeah, that"
"SHUT UP WHERE TRYING TO WATCH THE MOVIE"

......that seriously happened

Was it a good movie.....meh, decent, its not meant to be an amazing film, and the best thing about it was Gemma & Jeremy Renner.

Anyway, Gemma is in again, another film that shows she can perform a decent fight scene, and yea can handle a whip/chain

Let's get this straight, X-Men is a Fox film franchise. She is contracted with Fox for two more X-Men movies, as well as three HG films. Not Marvel Studios/Disney.

With that out of the way, there is NO WAY Lionsgate and Fox will let her do a WB franchise. There's way too much risk that her schedules will overlap, and they're not going to have it.

Jennifer Lawrence is a part of the Fox X-Men Franchise, just like Ryan Reynolds was when he made Green Lantern. That should be a problem.

Ultimately, I want Gemma for Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy, and Jennifer Lawrence as Wonder Woman. But if I can't have Jen Law for WW, I'd go with Gemma, and pick someone else for Gamora.

Make sense?
