Wednesday's numbers:

The Dark Knight Rises $3,688,489 (-21%)

Pretty hefty drop. Was hoping for 10% - 12% only.

====

Thursday is looking to be around ~ $3,420,000.

If that's the case, the weekend numbers would look something like:

Friday ~ $5,360,000
Saturday ~ $7,410,000
Sunday ~ $5,780,000

Est Weekend Projection ~ $18,550,000

It's been marketed to the MAX!

Though, I don't care to see it. It's just another random sequel action movie.

Certainly does feel that way yes, its a shame when a good trilogy cant be left alone if its as average as some are saying.

Money talks I spose and the franchise owners will always want to turn more of a profit if they see potential, they care little for reputation's.

Yeah... I won't be seeing Bourne Legacy. Certainly not in cinemas anyway.

What is it with Jeremy Renner piggy backing on already successful franchises?

My friends and I are big Bourne fans so we'll definitely be seeing The Bourne Legacy.

Matt Damon already said the next Bourne sequel could see him partnering up with Jeremy Renner's character. Nerdgasm for spy movie lovers!

I love espionage movies, but that thought tastes like a cold bucket of sick to me.

They should call it "Bourne IV: Bland and Blander".

I'm sorry for Edward Norton. His talent is getting wasted almost a decade in bad movies.

After a few sequels too many, Bourne has hit hard times, and finds himself sleeping rough while staring in movies directed by Uwe Boll in return for food and meths.

Norton is notorious for being difficult to work with so I don't feel sorry for him at all. He could have been part of the biggest movie of the year had he played nice.

Having earned enough money to get his life back on track, Jason Bourne enrolls in school once again, to get qualified and earn a living. But, one day, he decides it is just far too nice a day to be spent at school, and he goes off in search of adventure.

The Bourne Truancy.

Marvel Studios aren't angelic though. Norton,Howard & Rourke had problems already.

Which goes wonderfully...until he starts to feel a sharp pain and itch in his lower arm. Little does he know the horrors that lay ahead.

I've been able to guage movie business this summer pretty accurately based on theater trailer reactions.

Based on crowd reaction to TASM i predicted the film not going over 250m, for total recall i predicted a bomb after them, now for reaction to the bourne trailer which ranged from muted to some what confused, i'm predicting about a 25m or so opening.

Depending on how many of the hardcore fans of the previous installments show up.

You're not that far off as TAS-M has only made $252,768,504 domestically.
